Chiefs’ heiress Ava Hunt calls out singer Hudson Westbrook for snubbing Kansas City

Ava Hunt isn’t just cheering on the sidelines-she’s making sure the Chiefs get the respect they’ve earned.

In a recent Instagram collab with the ride-share app Fetii, the 19-year-old Kansas City Chiefs heiress and current SMU Mustangs cheerleader playfully called out singer Hudson Westbrook after his dream Super Bowl matchup failed to include her family’s team.

Gracie Hunt escapes her dad and duties as she’s spotted in the desert happy and party ready

Westbrook, in the middle of a Q&A, listed the Patriots, Cowboys, or Ravens as his top picks to headline his ideal halftime performance. Hunt, clearly surprised, shot back with a grin, “You’re leaving out the Chiefs?” Her reaction set the tone for the rest of the clip.

Westbrook tried to clean it up quickly, giving Kansas City its flowers: “I’ve already seen them play the Super Bowl five times. I love Patty. I love Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs would be in it, okay. Chiefs and Cowboys.”

The Hunt Family legacy meets Gen Z pop culture

The exchange gained traction fast, with fan accounts and outlets like Bleacher Report and Sports Illustrated picking it up. With Ava’s rising profile-both as the daughter of Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt and as a cheerleader-her reaction added a fun twist to what could’ve been just another social media moment.

The Hunt sisters, Ava and Gracie, are no strangers to the spotlight. Whether they’re cheering from Arrowhead, appearing at FC Dallas matches (another Hunt-owned franchise), or posting from spring break in Cabo, they’ve become familiar faces in the sports world. Their shared birthday post in March drew thousands of likes, with both celebrating their milestones-Gracie turning 26 and Ava turning 19-with matching leather looks and sweet tributes.

What’s clear is that Ava’s not just a name in the box seats. She’s plugged in, vocal, and ready to defend her team-even if it means checking a chart-topping singer mid-interview.

As Kansas City continues to ride the wave of Mahomes-era success, don’t be surprised if the next generation of Hunts keeps that spotlight shining just as brightly.

Oakmont Country Club is one of golf's ultimate tests and the famed course just outside of Pittsburgh will serve as host of the 2025 U.S. Open beginning on Thursday. This will be the 10th time our national championship is contested at Oakmont, the most of any course in U.S. Open history. USGA setups are almost always the toughest of the four major championships on the golf schedule and the five-inch rough at Oakmont has been generating buzz for week. Bryson DeChambeau is the defending U.S. Open champion and finished 15th at Oakmont in 2016, his first major championship as a professional. He's +700 in the 2025 U.S. Open odds, while world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is the +280 favorite after winning in three of his last four starts. However, as one of the least accessible Premier League stadiums for disabled supporters it is far from a perfect fit.
