Bei den Skyblues läuft die Suche nach einem Keeper!
Nachdem sich Stamm-Torhüter Ederson (31) am vergangenen Wochenende beim 5:2-Sieg gegen Crystal Palace erneut verletzt hat, sucht Manchester nach einem Ersatz-Torhüter. Nun scheint City an einem portugiesischen Torhüter aus Porto interessiert zu sein.
[–>Ederson wurde in der laufenden Saison von vielen Verletzungen geplagt. Immer wieder hatte der Keeper Leistenprobleme, die so schwerwiegend waren, dass er den Großteil der Saison nicht voll trainieren konnte. Auch jetzt ist es wieder die Leiste, die ihn wahrscheinlich für mehrere Wochen außer Gefecht setzt.
Wird City in Porto fündig?
Manchester hat seinen Fokus auf einen anderen portugiesischsprachigen Torhüter gerichtet. Das Interesse an Portos Diogo Costa (25) soll sich laut “Mirror“ verstärkt haben. Costa dessen Vertrag in Porto erst im Juni 2027 ausläuft, hat beim Klub eine Ausstiegsklausel von 63 Millionen Pfund. Das wäre kein Schnäppchen für die Skyblues!
Allerdings wird dem neuen Fußballdirektor von City Hugo Viana (42) nachgesagt, dass er gute Beziehungen zum Agenten von Costa hätte. Viana hoffe mit einem Angebot von rund 50 Millionen Pfund einen Deal aushandeln zu können.

Perfekt für Guardiola?
Diogo Costa ist neben seinen Keeper-Qualitäten auch für seine beeindruckenden Fähigkeiten am Ball bekannt und würde damit perfekt in Pep Guardiolas Torwart-Profil passen.
Costa ging mit nur elf Jahren in die Akademie von Porto und hat seit seinem Debüt bei den Profis (im Jahr 2019) 195 Spiele bestritten. In dieser Zeit konnte er ganze neun Trophäen gewinnen.

Manchester City befindet sich in einer schweren Phase und kämpft in dieser Saison noch um die Champions-League-Qualifikation. Ob die Sklyblues letztendlich bei Costa zuschlagen, bleibt abzuwarten.
