A crise da seleção brasileira tem agora a opinião de Cafu, capitão do pentacampeonato e jogador com mais partidas pela equipe nacional. Em entrevista concedida à Toca e Passa, newsletter do GLOBO que será enviada nesta quinta-feira, o ex-lateral afirmou que a demora na escolha de um novo técnico prejudica a seleção e dá a impressão de falta de comando.
— Parece que estamos leiloando o cargo de técnico da seleção. E isso é ruim para o futebol brasileiro — disse Cafu, durante o Prêmio Laureus, na Espanha.
Já são 20 dias sem treinador, e Cafu vê com preocupação o vazio deixado após a saída de Dorival Júnior. Para ele, o momento pede soluções práticas e, principalmente, um técnico que conheça o futebol local.
— Estamos a um ano e meio da Copa. Então por que não escolher alguém que já conhece o futebol brasileiro, os jogadores, a cultura? — questiona. O ex-jogador citou nomes como Rogério Ceni, Renato Gaúcho e Roger Machado como opções nacionais viáveis.
O capitão do penta não poupou os jogadores. Em uma avaliação direta, assumiu que a responsabilidade pelos maus resultados também deve recair sobre os atletas.
— O presidente da CBF não joga, o treinador não joga, a torcida não entra em campo. Se fui escolhido para estar ali, tenho que representar — afirmou. Para ele, é hora de parar de “colocar a culpa na diretoria, na comissão técnica”.
