Rogério Ceni, após o primeiro triunfo do Bahia no Brasileirão, ressaltou o embate complicado diante do Ceará. Levando em conta o estilo fechado do rival, o treinador fez questão de incluir Pedro Raul no discurso. Atravessando uma fase extraordinária, o centroavante costuma levar perigo em jogadas aéreas e duelos na grande área, algo que fez o comandante indicar uma ausência no elenco do Tricolor de Aço.
“A gente joga o jogo combinado porque acredita, gosta e acha que esse é o modelo de jogo. A gente sofre um pouco com times fechados, a gente não tem um Pedro Raul, por exemplo. E também não chuta muito de longe, que é algo que ajuda nesse cenário.”, disse Ceni, em coletiva de imprensa.
“Enfrentamos equipes fechadas e normalmente saímos com mais chances criadas, mais finalizações, isso é louvável. Mas temos limites. Isso é normal dentro do futebol. O Bahia está em fase de crescimento.”, acrescentou.
Em campo, Pedro Raul lutou bastante, mas não conseguiu balançar as redes do Bahia. Apesar disso, com quatro gols, o goleador do Vozão segue ao lado de Arrascaeta e Vegetti na artilharia do Campeonato Brasileiro.

“Nosso ataque foi muito mais positivo no começo do ano. É natural diminuir no Brasileiro. Cada um deles tem suas características. O Willian sentiu um desconforto, mas deve jogar quinta-feira (contra o Atlético Nacional). O Lucho saiu por opção minha, não tem relação com lesão. Mas eles têm minha confiança para voltar fazer os gols. São eles que vão fazer a diferença.”, externou.

“O Lucho eu não vejo ele como ponta, um cara para receber a bola e fazer o um contra um. Ele é um segundo atacante, feito para jogar assim, como o Gabigol e Bruno Henrique no Flamengo. A gente dá amplitude com os pontas que têm um contra um, e precisamos de alguém para ser a referência. Nos faz falta um jogador de área, vamos conversar no momento ideal para ter um jogador assim.”, relatou.
