Pode estar muito perto de terminar a segunda passagem de Ángel Di María pelo Benfica. Nesta segunda-feira, o jornal ‘A Bola’ avançou que a renovação do contrato do argentino complicou-se na sequência da lesão sofrida pelo jogador no último sábado, no triunfo (3-0) frente ao Vitória SC, que o obrigou inclusive a deixar o relvado antes do apito final, à passagem do minuto 53.
Ao que parece, a direção das águias ficou de pé atrás em relação à prolongação do vínculo de Di María, que termina no final da presente temporada, devido, justamente, aos crescentes problemas físicos que o futebolista, de 37 anos, tem apresentado nesta época. Mas será que existem assim tantos motivos para alarme?
Em 2024/25, note-se, o extremo já perdeu 11 jogos oficiais do Benfica na sequência de lesões, quando em 2023/24 tinha ficado de fora em apenas seis partidas. Nesta segunda passagem pelo Benfica, Di María tem sido, apesar de tudo, um dos jogadores mais influentes do plantel encarnado, inclusive nesta época, na qual, mesmo com as lesões que sofreu, já apontou 15 golos e realizou nove assistências em 37 encontros. São números muito relevantes e dos mais significativos apresentados por jogadores das águias na presente temporada.
A idade e o alto vencimento que aufere na Luz, que está na ordem dos 4 milhões de euros brutos por ano, esses sim, parecem mesmo não jogar a favor da continuidade do jogador.
Di María, recorde-se, encontra-se a cumprir a segunda temporada de águia ao peito desde que regressou ao clube, no verão de 2023, depois de terminar contrato com a Juventus. Chegou à Luz pela primeira vez em 2007, quando foi contratado aos argentinos do Rosário Central por 8 milhões de euros. Três anos mais tarde, em 2010, acabaria por ser vendido ao Real Madrid por 33 milhões de euros.
