Vor fünf Monaten fast gefeuert, heute riesig gefeiert: Louis van Gaal (58) kann als 1. Trainer der Bundesliga-Geschichte das Triple holen. Wie tickt der Mann? BILD hat einige Geschichten über ihn zusammengetragen.
▶ Mourinho ist sein Fan
Inter-Trainer Mourinho fürchtet ein mögliches Finale gegen Bayern: „Da ziehe ich es vor, gegen Lyon zu spielen.“ Grund ist sein Respekt vor van Gaal! Mourinho: „Ich liebe ihn. Er war mein Lehrer und Boss.“ Mourinho war Assistent von van Gaal in Barcelona (1997 – 2000). Van Gaal hat also einen der besten Trainer der Welt ausgebildet.
▶ Ordnung auf dem Platz
Van Gaal teilt das Spielfeld in 18 Rechtecke auf, in denen jeder Spieler eine bestimmte Aufgabe hat. Wer seine Aufgabe missachtet, gefährdet die Ordnung – und wird ausgewechselt. So wie Robben gegen Lyon. Van Gaal: „Er hat schon die letzten Spiele zu mir gesagt, dass er 90 Minuten spielen will. Aber dann muss er auch über 90 Minuten in der Ordnung spielen. Das hat er nicht gemacht.“
▶ Mannschafts-Foto
Van Gaal bestimmt sogar die Anordnung der Spieler auf dem Mannschaftsfoto. „Das wird in der ganzen Welt gezeigt, da muss es auch schön aussehen. Alle müssen da Hemd in der Hose haben. Und der kleine Ribéry darf nicht neben dem riesigen van Buyten stehen. Das sieht ja schrecklich aus“, sagt van Gaal in der SZ.
▶ Essens- und Sitz-Regeln
Beim gemeinsamen Mittagessen im Leistungszentrum besteht eine feste Sitzordnung. Erst wenn alle Platz genommen haben, darf tischweise aufgestanden und sich Essen vom Büffet geholt werden. Erst wenn alle aufgegessen haben, darf aufgestanden werden. Zudem fordert van Gaal eine ordentliche Sitzhaltung. Luca Toni bekam im Sommer-Trainingslager einen Rüffel, weil er rumlümmelte.
Nach der Hinrunden-Niederlage in Mainz saß Vorstandschef Rummenigge im Flugzeug versehentlich auf dem für van Gaal reservierten Platz. Der Trainer bestand auf „seinen“ Platz, bat seinen Chef höflich, aber bestimmt, aufzustehen. Rummenigge: „Ich habe gesagt: Ich stehe gerne auf, aber dann musst du künftig gewinnen.“
▶ Ribéry-Rede
Als in der Bayern-Kabine gemurrt wurde, dass Ribéry wieder mal beim Training fehlte, hielt van Gaal eine Ansprache: „Sie als Mannschaft entscheiden, was jetzt mit Ribéry passiert. Aber für unsere großen Ziele brauchen wir Ribéry.“ So verhinderte er eine Spaltung. Die Spieler zogen Ribéry in der schwierigen Phase mit durch.
▶ Fan-Nähe
Er sucht bei Bayern den Kontakt zu den Fans, klatscht mit Zuschauern hinter der Trainerbank ab, nimmt sich Zeit für jede Foto- oder Autogramm-Bitte. Hintergrund: Er fühlt sich hier im Gegensatz zu Holland respektvoll behandelt. Da musste er in den Stadien sogar Gesänge über seine damals krebskranke Frau Fernanda ertragen (starb 1994). Seit dem 8. August 2008 ist er mit Truus verheiratet.
