Considerado um dos melhores técnicos de todos os tempos no futebol brasileiro, Vanderlei Luxemburgo foi questionado durante participação no programa “Galvão e Amigos” desta semana, na Band, sobre qual seria o melhor treinador do país atualmente.
Luxa não pipocou e cravou: “Abel Ferreira!”
O treinador português é o comandante mais longevo do futebol brasileiro já que comanda o Palmeiras desde novembro de 2020, quando foi contratado, justamente para substituir Luxemburgo no comando da equipe paulista.
Sucessor de muito sucesso
Desde então, Abel já ajudou o Verdão a levantar as taças do Brasileirão (duas vezes), da Libertadores (duas vezes), Copa do Brasil, Campeonato Paulista (três vezes), Recopa Sul-Americana e Supercopa do Brasil.
Em 2025, o Palmeiras foi vice no Paulistão e lidera o Brasileirão, além de ser o primeiro em seu grupo na Libertadores.
Nesta quinta-feira (24), Abel Ferreira tenta vencer pela primeira vez uma partida da Libertadores na altitude de La Paz, na Bolívia, onde o time alviverde encara o Bolívar, às 19h (de Brasília).
Luxemburgo vê Renato Gaúcho como ideal na seleção brasileira
Depois da demissão de Dorival Júnior após a vexatória goleada sofrida contra a Argentina, por 4 a 1, nas Eliminatórias da Copa de 2026, a CBF ainda não definiu quem será o novo treinador da seleção brasileira.
Alguns nomes como o do próprio Abel Ferreira, além de Carlo Ancelotti, José Mourinho e Jorge Jesus estão no radar da entidade, mas para Luxemburgo, o nome ideal neste momento seria Renato Gaúcho, atual comandante do Fluminense.
“Eu acho que desse contexto todo que estão falando por aí, o nome que merecia estar na seleção brasileira era o Renato Gaúcho. Por que ele vem fazendo um trabalho muito bom e tem a cara do futebol brasileiro. Ele é irreverente, indolente, sabe lidar com o jogador de uma forma diferente e para mim, ele é a bola da vez”, cravou Luxemburgo.
