Com isso, a organização da Maratona do Rio espera chegar a 60 mil corredores. A previsão inicial era de 55 mil. Será, portanto, um crescimento de cerca de 33% em relação à edição anterior quando 45 mil correram pelas ruas da cidade. A Maratona do Rio acontecerá entre os dias 18 e 22 de junho.
A “raspa do tacho” terá vagas para todas as provas, 5K, 10K, 21K, 42K e para o Desafio Cidade Maravilhosa (21K+42K).
Essas inscrições são oriundas de pagamentos não efetuados nos últimos lotes e poderão ser feitas no site oficial da Maratona do Rio.
A programação do evento começará na quinta-feira (19/06) com a prova de 5k, segue na sexta-feira (20/06) com os 10k. No sábado (21/06) acontecerá a prova dos 21k. E no domingo (22/06) terá os 42k, a distância mais tradicional do evento.
