The experienced NFL quarterback, Joe Flacco, is preparing for his 18th season in the league. During the offseason, he was signed by the Cleveland Browns, marking his return to the franchise after a standout performance with the team in 2023.
In that season, the Browns signed Flacco due to injuries to their quarterbacks, and since taking control of the offense, Cleveland became one of the most exciting teams to watch. The Browns made it to the postseason, where they lost to the Houston Texans in the wild-card round. Additionally, Flacco was named Player of the Month in December.

In 2024, Flacco had a brief stint with the Indianapolis Colts, and now the Browns have brought him back, where he will compete with Kenny Pickett for the franchise’s starting quarterback position.
Joe Flacco seeks to keep competing in the NFL
At 39 years old, Flacco continues to show impressive qualities. In 2023, he was named Comeback Player of the Year, and in 2024, he even served as the starting quarterback at times for the Colts. Now, he aims to do the same in the upcoming season.
“I love the game. That’s the first reason. And the second is that I have a lot of people around me who make me believe in myself. I still feel like I can play, so that’s the main thing,” Flacco said, showing full commitment and readiness to fight for the starting spot.
On the other hand, Flacco was asked about the NFL Draft that will take place in Green Bay. Although the Browns are linked to WR/CB and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, it is not ruled out that they might select a quarterback at some point to add depth to the position.
“I haven’t paid attention to the draft in probably the last 14 or 15 years,” he stated, adding that he hopes the rookies will arrive and quickly adapt to the locker room, and above all, respect the players with more experience in the NFL.
The Browns will pick second in the Draft, just behind the Tennessee Titans, who are expected to select Cam Ward.
