According to NFL insider Dianna Russini, Chicago has made calls with the clear intent to move up-possibly eyeing the Jaguars‘ 5th pick or even the Patriots at 4. The motivation? Ensuring they don’t miss out on their top running back target due to potential misdirection from the Raiders or surprise selections from other teams.
This would mark a significant shift for the Bears, who’ve already committed to a new offensive vision under head coach Ben Johnson. Jeanty’s arrival would not only elevate their ground game but provide crucial support to rookie quarterback Caleb Williams.
