Die Saison ist für Manchester City und Trainer Pep Guardiola (54) eher eine zum Vergessen. In der Champions League war schon in der Zwischenrunde gegen Real Madrid Schluss. In der Liga kämpft man noch immer um die Qualifikation für die Königsklasse, steht aktuell auf Platz 3. Insgesamt gab es für die Cityzens in 51 Pflichtspielen bereits 15 Niederlagen.

Im Hintergrund basteln die Verantwortlichen des Top-Klubs daher am Kader für die neue Saison.

Der Marktwert des Ex-Dortmunders Bellingham (spielte zwischen 2020 und 2023 beim BVB), dessen Vertrag in Madrid noch bis Sommer 2029 läuft, liegt bei 180 Mio. Euro. Auch Camavinga ist noch bis Juni 2029 an den spanischen Erstligisten gebunden.

Billig wäre eine Verpflichtung für City auf jeden Fall nicht. Allerdings sollen die Engländer laut dem Portal auch bereit sein, bis zu 200 Mio. Euro hinzublättern. Von denen sollen 150 Mio. Euro für Bellingham anfallen und 50 Mio. Euro für den französischen Nationalspieler.
