Liverpool und Bayern-Star Harry Kane (31) – ein Traumduo!

Jol betonte, wie wichtig es sei, Salah und Kapitän Virgil van Dijk langfristig an den Verein gebunden zu haben. „Liverpool ist ein Top-Klub und wird immer einen Weg finden, erfolgreich zu sein, egal wer das Sagen hat“, so der 69-Jährige. „Der Schlüssel für Arne Slot – und ich kenne ihn gut – ist, Weltklasse-Spieler wie van Dijk und Salah zu halten. Und genau das ist geschehen.“
Jetzt habe Liverpool die Basis gesichert, um nächste Saison wieder um den Premier-League-Titel zu kämpfen, glaubt Jol. „Das Einzige, was Liverpool vielleicht fehlt, ist eine echte Nummer neun. Ich persönlich hoffe, Harry Kane zu Tottenham zurückkehrt. Aber wenn er sich entscheidet, in die Premier League zurückzukehren und nicht zu den Spurs geht, wäre Liverpool perfekt. Kane neben Salah könnte unglaublich sein.“
