The colossal rivalry between John Cena and Randy Orton stands as an immortal pillar in the modern saga of WWE. Forged in the harsh locker rooms of the early days of Ohio Valley Wrestling, these titans have waged an epic war for over two decades, starring in legendary battles for world titles and brutal clashes throughout the Ruttles Agression Era.
They embodied the two highest faces in the WWE, each a universe unto themselves of style, magnetism and irreconcilable beliefs. Though their final singles match resonated in 2017, the flame of their antagonism burns eternally, ready to erupt at any moment.

John Cena will defend his WWE Championship against Randy Orton: A blow to nostalgia
On the latest episode of SmackDown, the match between The Man You Can’t See and The Legendary Killer was made official.
John Cena appeared on the show and issued a challenge to Orton.
“Randy, this match has to happen at Backlash. In St. Louis. At your home. You get to spend the day with your family. I need Randy Orton at his best. After Backlash, if you fail, you won’t have any excuses,” Cena said.
There was also a pretty funny moment when a kid gave John Cena the middle finger and he changed the subject to go after the little boy’s father.
“Randy, you know why I don’t have kids? Because I raised yours for 25 years. And I think I’ve done a flawless job. I was a better father to your kids than you’ll ever be. Child, your father is a failure. A child just gave me the finger. Classy,” the Hollywood actor said.
The segment ended with John Cena attempting to hit Randy below the belt, but Randy delivered an RKO, leaving him on the canvas once again. Orton and Cena will face off one last time this Saturday, May 10th at Backlash at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
