Die Wahl zum Spieler des Monats April in der Easycredit Basketball-Bundesliga scheint eine klare Sache zu werden.

Mehr als jede vierte der bei der Fan-Wahl bereits abgegebenen Stimmen entfiel auf Jonas Richter (27) von den Niners Chemnitz (27,3 Prozent, Stand 28. April, 12.00 Uhr).
Er führt damit drei Tage vor Abstimmungsende deutlich vor Heidelbergs Ryan Mikesell (11,7 Prozent) und seinem Teamkollegen Kevin Yebo (9,8 Prozent).
Wird Jonas Richter der nächste MVP aus Chemnitz?
Der 2,07-Meter große Center der Sachsen legte Anfang des Monats gegen Ulm seine wohl beste Partie der Saison hin, erzielte 19 Treffer, nachdem er in allen Begegnungen zuvor immer einstellig geblieben war.
Damit legte er den Grundstein für seine Führung im Voting, da die Abstimmung immer über den gesamten Monat läuft und die Fans pro Woche eine Stimme abgeben können.

Die Leistung gegen Ulm beflügelte Richter offenbar so sehr, dass er im April gleich noch zwei weitere Spiele mit zweistelliger Trefferanzahl folgen ließ. Ob seine Punkteauszeit am vergangenen Wochenende bei der Klatsche gegen Alba (81:103) die Abstimmung nochmal kippen lässt?
Aktuell sieht alles danach aus, als würde der MVP-Award zum dritten Mal bei bislang vier Abstimmungen in diesem Jahr nach Chemnitz gehen. Die Fan-Base dort ist bekannt für ihr großes Engagement bei der Wahl.
So bescherte sie im Januar Aher Uguak den Titel, im März gewann dank ihrer Hilfe Jacob Gilyard. Diesmal läuft alles auf Richter hinaus, für den der April persönlich deutlich besser verlief als für den Rest seines Teams, das vier seiner fünf Spiele verlor.
[–>Noch bis einschließlich Donnerstag (1. Mai), bis zum Tip-off der Bundesliga-Spiele an diesem Tag (15 Uhr), können alle Basketball-Fans HIER ihre Stimme abgeben. Und noch kann sich das Bild ändern, schließlich finden am Mittwoch noch einige BBL-Partien statt, bei denen etwa Academics-Star Mikesell die Anhänger noch überzeugen kann, für ihn zu stimmen.
Richter kann dagegen keine Argumente mehr sammeln, da das Spiel von Chemnitz erst am Donnerstag (18 Uhr gegen Ludwigsburg) stattfindet. Dann ist das April-Voting bereits geschlossen.
