Defesa. Esta foi a principal virtude do Bahia, na vitória por 1 a 0 sobre o Palmeiras, em jogo válido por mais uma rodada de Brasileirão Série A. É o que avaliou o técnico do time nordestino, Rogério Ceni.
“Nós fizemos duas trocas e mantivemos nove jogadores. Equipe que exige tudo para fazer bons jogos e raramente conseguir vencer. Nós defendemos bem. Mantivemos nossa estratégia defensiva”, iniciou.
O ex-goleiro também citou quatro jogadores que tiveram um alto nível futebolístico, no estádio Allianz Parque.
“Destacar que Mingo, Gilberto e David fizeram partida excepcional, Juba muito bem. A linha de quatro como um todo. Dedicação de todos. É sempre difícil vencer o Palmeiras. Fizemos um bom jogo defensivo e tivemos as nossas oportunidades”, reforçou.
Rogério Ceni ainda destacou que o Palmeiras foi perigoso. “Eles tiveram até mais chances no segundo tempo com bolas cruzadas, time muito alto e difícil conseguir se defender. Mas mantivemos nossa estratégia de jogo até o final”, disse.
Luta por vaga no G4 do Brasileirão Série A
Com o resultado, o Bahia chegou a nove pontos e agora é o 7° colocado do torneio nacional. O time do Grupo City está perto do G4.
“Esse projeto do Bahia começou há 19 meses brigando para não cair. Hoje, temos a possibilidade de disputar a Libertadores. Importante os torcedores entender o crescimento em pouco tempo no futebol, onde se leva tanto tempo para construir coisas”, disse.

O clube volta a campo nesta quarta (30). Vai enfrentar o Paysandu, às 21h30, em Belém. O duelo é válido pela terceira fase da Copa do Brasil.
