Bosse-Beben bei den Bayern-Basketballern!
Jetzt ist klar: Geschäftsführer Marko Pesic (48) verlässt nach 14 Jahren den Klub. Das meldeten die Münchner am Mittwochmittag auf einer Pressekonferenz und nur drei Spieltage vor dem Start der Play-offs in der Easycredit Basketball Bundesliga.
[–>Bayern-Präsident Herbert Hainer (70): „Marko kam nach 14 intensiven Jahren mit dem Wunsch auf mich zu, dass er mehr Zeit für sich und seine Familie brauche. Es ist mir schwergefallen, das zu akzeptieren. Unsere Ziele sind ambitioniert, wir wollen in Europa an die Topspitze kommen.“
Pesic: „Ich trete nicht zurück. Mein Vertrag ist ausgelaufen. Ich habe das Glück gehabt, mit 34 als Funktionärs-Nobody eine Chance zu bekommen. Uli Hoeneß hat mir diese Möglichkeit gegeben. Es hätte sicherere Optionen als mich gegeben. Ich habe immer mein Maximum gegeben. Es hat mich angetrieben. Die Rolle des Geschäftsführers bedeutet: 24/7. Man muss immer nach vorne schauen.“
Jetzt offiziell: Geschäftsführer Marko Pesic verlässt den FC Bayern Basketball
Seit 2011 ist der Ex-Nationalspieler (97 Länderspiele) der Macher bei den Bayern, erst als Sportdirektor, seit 2013 als Geschäftsführer. Ex-Profi Pesic hat das Lieblingsprojekt von Ehrenpräsident Uli Hoeneß (73) vorangetrieben und die Bayern zu einem der Top-Klubs in Europa geformt. Mit dem Bau des SAP Gardens hat sich ein Traum von Pesic erfüllt, jedes Heimspiel diese Saison war ausverkauft (11.500 Zuschauer).
Im Juni endet nun sein Vertrag, der zuletzt im Februar 2022 verlängert worden war. Hainer: „Marko bleibt uns beratend an der Seite auch über 2025 hinaus. Mit der neuen Konstellation können wir den FC Bayern weiterführen.“
Wie krass ist das denn?: Bei IHR platzt fast der Volleyball
Die Bayern bevorzugen laut Hainer eine interne Lösung, um Pesic bestmöglich zu ersetzen. Sportdirektor Dragan Tarlac (51) wird zum 1. Juli die sportlichen Aufgaben von Pesic übernehmen, der bisherige Chief Strategy Officer Adrian Sarmiento das Kaufmännische verantworten. Beide sind neben Pesic als Geschäftsführer bis zum 31. Dezember tätig.
Hainer: „Marko wird sie begleiten, die Übergabe machen und sein Netzwerk weitergeben.“

Pesic: „Irgendwann habe ich gemerkt: Mir fehlt die mentale und physische Kraft. Wenn du etwas machst, dann zu 100 Prozent. Ich habe kein Interesse für einen anderen Verein zu arbeiten. Absolut nicht. Ich habe das gegenüber SPORT BILD auch verneint.“
Auch Dubai also keine Option? Pesic: „Dubai wächst, hat ein gutes Management. Ich habe nie darüber nachgedacht, woanders zu arbeiten. Das habe ich Herrn Hainer zugesagt. Auf mein Wort kann man sich verlassen. Ich konzentriere mich erst mal darauf, die neuen Geschäftsführer zu unterstützen. Und ich werde dann einfach nichts machen. Nichts.“
