Kayla Nicole, media personality and former long-term partner of NFL star Travis Kelce, has expressed frustration over still being predominantly referred to as Kelce‘s ex, two years after their 2022 breakup.

In a recent appearance on the “Second Wind” podcast, Nicole criticized media outlets for reducing her complex personal journey to a single narrative centered around her past relationship.

She highlighted the challenges of navigating public life without prior media training and shared her disappointment in misleading headlines that ignore her current work and growth.

“It’s like, ‘damn, girl, did you listen to anything,'” Nicole said.

“I am human and take it with a grain of salt now. One day, they’re going to have to stop calling me someone’s ex. I don’t know if that means I have to date someone else publicly, but they’re going to have to just let it go. Until then, I’m going to ride this off into the sunset.”

Nicole is advocating for recognition beyond her romantic past and emphasized her focus on supporting other women through her openness and initiatives like “Tribe Therapy.”

“If I can make her feel like she’s seen and understood, and if I can make it out of something like this, so she, that’s what my job here is to do. Other than that, I don’t care. I simply don’t care,” she said.

A shift in perspective

Reflecting on her past relationship with Kelce, Nicole acknowledged the personal growth she has experienced since their split.

She emphasized the importance of self-discovery and healing, stating that she has learned to prioritize her well-being and personal development.

Nicole‘s journey has led her to reevaluate her views on relationships, focusing on mutual respect and understanding. She has also become more selective about sharing her personal life publicly, aiming to protect her privacy and emotional health.

In her podcast discussions, Nicole has expressed that she no longer believes in the concept of a “one and only” partner, suggesting that people can have multiple meaningful relationships throughout their lives.

She emphasized that alignment in timing and personal growth-such as emotional healing, financial stability, and career development-are more critical to a successful relationship than the idea of a soulmate.

Nicole‘s openness about her experiences and her advocacy for personal growth have resonated with many, inspiring others to focus on their own journeys and self-worth. By sharing her story, she aims to empower individuals to move beyond labels and embrace their unique paths.

As Nicole continues to build her career and personal life, she remains committed to her mission of supporting others and promoting a message of self-love and independence. Her efforts reflect a determination to be recognized for her achievements and contributions, rather than being defined by her past relationships.

Browns QB Dillon Gabriel should be getting some of the attention paid to Shedeur Sanders

The Cleveland Browns have been looking for a quarterback for more than a quarter century. They might have drafted a viable option. It's just not the draft pick everyone is talking about.Shedeur Sanders is a rare story, a fifth-round pick who has overshadowed every other player selected in the draft. That includes his teammate drafted two rounds earlier, Dillon Gabriel.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThat has made for a very strange situation in which Gabriel played well in the preseason and nobody seems to care. All anyone wants to talk about is the player behind Gabriel on the depth chart (and who has been behind Gabriel on the depth chart since they were both drafted). On another team, perhaps in another season, a third-round quarterback playing as well as Gabriel would have actually gotten some notice.Dillon Gabriel has a strong preseasonIt's telling that the most attention […]

How to bet on the Broncos: Super Bowl odds, win total, props, best futures bets for Denver in 2025

After the failed Russell Wilson experiment, the Denver Broncos began 2024 with a rookie quarterback in Bo Nix, who the team selected with the 12th overall pick in last year's draft. Many saw it as a reach, even with Nix being the sixth quarterback taken. But Sean Payton saw Nix as an ideal fit for his system, and after a rough stretch to open his career, Nix flourished and led Denver to the postseason while finishing 10th in scoring, including six games with 30 or more points scored. Nix completed 66% of his passes with 29 touchdowns to 12 interceptions. The AFC West runs through Kansas City, and if Nix and Co. want to take the division crown from the Chiefs, the Broncos will need Nix to avoid the dreaded sophomore slump that's plagued so many young quarterbacks over the years, such as […]

Eagles to waive OL Kenyon Green five months after trading for former first-round pick

USATSI The Philadelphia Eagles are making a notable roster move ahead of Tuesday's 53-man deadline by waiving offensive lineman Kenyon Green, according to CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz. The reigning Super Bowl champions traded for Green and a fifth-round pick in March in a deal that gave the Houston Texans safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson and a sixth-round pick. Green was expected to compete for a backup guard spot but clearly did not make the kind of progress needed to keep a roster spot. While the Eagles appear set with their formidable starting five of Jordan Mailata, Landon Dickerson, Cam Jurgens, Tyler Steen and Lane Johnson, they have been active in reshuffling some of their reserves on the offensive line. On Sunday, Philly made a total of three trades -- two of which included offensive linemen. The Eagles acquired offensive tackle Fred Johnson from the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for a seventh-round pick, and then sent offensive tackle Darian Kinnard to the Green […]
