
Das unabhängige Handballgericht des Österreichischen Handballbundes (ÖHB) hat entschieden. Und wie!
Wenige Tage nach dem üblen Foul von Ivan Horvat (32, von 2016 bis 2018 bei der SG Flensburg) an Markus Mahr (24) steht das Strafmaß für den in Bozen geborenen Kroaten des Alpla HC Hard fest. Horvat wird lange Zeit keinem Gegner mehr wehtun und in den OP-Saal prügeln.
Handball-Schläger zwei Jahre gesperrt
Horvat hatte Mahr vom Klub Bregenz Handball im Meisterschafts-Viertelfinale mit der linken Hand voll ins Gesicht geschlagen. Mahr musste mit Nasenbeinbruch in die Klinik und operiert werden. Nach dem üblen Vorfall zofften sich beide Klubs über die sozialen Netzwerke, Horvat drückte dennoch sein Bedauern über den Vorfall aus.
Der ÖHB hat das Foul nun als grob unsportliches Verhalten gewertet und Horvat bis zum 30. Juni 2027 gesperrt. Der Verband teilt mit: „Auf Basis der vorliegenden Beweismittel hat das Handballgericht das Foul von Ivan Horvat als grob unsportliches Verhalten im Sinne der ÖHB-Bestimmung 7.3.1 eingestuft, das zudem eine schwere Verletzung nach sich zog.“
[–>In der genannten Bestimmung 7.3.1 steht: „Grobe Unsportlichkeiten während des laufenden Spielgeschehens im Verhalten zum Gegner im Sinne der Spielregeln sind mit einer Sperre bis zu 2 Jahren, im Falle einer schweren Verletzung des gegnerischen Spielers oder Mannschaftsoffiziellen mit Sperre von 8 Pflichtspielen bis zu 4 Jahren, zu bestrafen. Als schwere Verletzung ist eine solche Verletzung zu verstehen, die im Sinne des österreichischen Strafgesetzbuches als solche anzusehen ist.“
Gegen das Urteil kann innerhalb von zwei Wochen ab Zustellung eine Berufung verlangt werden. Horvat ist jedoch ab sofort für alle Pflichtspiele gesperrt, solange kein anderes Urteil des ÖHB-Berufungsgerichts vorliegt. Bregenz ist übrigens gegen Alpla Hard im Meisterschafts-Viertelfinale ausgeschieden.
