Erst waren es nur einige Namen, dann eine Liste von bis zu zehn Spielern – jetzt stehen bei Manchester United nach einer Horror-Saison alle Zeichen auf Neustart!

Im kommenden Sommer sollen viele Stars verkauft werden, um Platz für neue zu schaffen. „Daily Star“ berichtet, dass nur vier Spieler unantastbar sind – der Rest soll gehen, wenn der Preis stimmt!

Die Bilanz der laufenden Saison macht einschneidende Maßnahmen beinahe zwingend nötig: In der Premier League gab es zehn Siege aus 35 Spielen, was aktuell einen abgeschlagenen Platz 15 einbringt. Das Team von Trainer Ruben Amorims (40) konzentriert sich seit einiger Zeit nur noch auf die Europa League. Ein Sieg dort könnte die Teilnahme an der Champions League sichern. Ein kleiner Lichtblick am Horizont.

Laut „Daily Star“ ist die sportliche Führung bereit, „die meisten Spieler zu verkaufen, wenn der Preis stimmt“. Ein radikaler Ausverkauf könnte helfen, Amorim ein riesiges Budget für neue, passende Spieler zu verschaffen.

Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo, Rasmus Hojlund, Luke Shaw, Casemiro, die Ex-Bayern-Stars Matthijs de Ligt und Joshua Zirkzee und auch Christian Eriksen stünden zum Verkauf. Garnacho hat ein neues Preisschild von rund 75 Mio. Euro bekommen, Chelsea zeigt starkes Interesse. Die „Blues“ konnten ihn im Januar nicht verpflichten, beobachten ihn aber weiterhin.

Maguire, Fernandes, Amad Diallo und Patrick Dorgu sind die einzigen Stars, die von der geplanten Abwanderungswelle verschont bleiben sollen.

Maguire hat sein Standing im United-Kader deutlich verbessert. Er erzielte einen dramatischen späten Siegtreffer im Europa-League-Viertelfinale gegen Lyon und zeigte starke Leistungen gegen Bilbao. Der Innenverteidiger, dem Erik ten Hag zuvor die Kapitänsbinde entzogen hatte, wird nun von Amorim als wichtiger Spieler angesehen und soll seinen Vertrag verlängern.

An Fernandes gibt es Berichten zufolge großes Interesse aus Saudi-Arabien, doch United hat absolut nicht vor, ihn gehen zu lassen.
