Der Innenverteidiger, dem Erik ten Hag zuvor die Kapitänsbinde entzogen hatte, wird nun von Amorim als wichtiger Spieler angesehen und soll seinen Vertrag verlängern.
An Fernandes gibt es Berichten zufolge großes Interesse aus Saudi-Arabien, doch United hat absolut nicht vor, ihn gehen zu lassen. Für die United-Fans wäre es schwer zu ertragen, wenn Garnacho und Mainoo den Verein verlassen würden, da beide vielversprechende Talente sind, die helfen könnten, den Verein in den kommenden Jahren wieder an die Spitze zu bringen.
