Es folgte die Verlängerung, die die Italiener dank Davide Frattesi (99.) für sich entschieden – und ins Finale der Königsklasse am 31. Mai in München einzogen.
Lewandowski stand nicht in der Startelf von Flick, weil er sich am 19. April eine Oberschenkelverletzung zugezogen hatte. Schon das Hinspiel hatte der Pole verletzungsbedingt komplett verpasst.

Der Verteidiger selbst hatte sich im Hinspiel noch vor der Pause (42.) eine Oberschenkelverletzung zugezogen und fällt wohl auch noch für den Clásico am Sonntag gegen Real Madrid (ab 16.15 Uhr hier im SPORT BILD-Liveticker) aus.
