Kanye West threatened to seek sole custody of his four children with Kim Kardashian after claiming that his ex-wife “exploited” their eldest daughter, North, for “personal or commercial gain,” RadarOnline.com reported.
Kardashian, 44, took her daughter North to the Met Gala last Monday in New York without West’s permission, so according to the rapper, she violated the terms of the couple’s 2022 divorce settlement.

West, who currently resides in Palma, Spain, also blamed his ex-wife for “denying” him access to his children: North, 11; Saint West, 9; Chicago West, 7; and Psalm West, 5.

A furious West told the reality star this week that she violated his parental rights and broke their 2022 joint custody agreement, a friend familiar with the situation revealed.
While North did not attend the Met Gala, she and her mother shared videos and photos with their hundreds of millions of social media followers, where they can be seen getting ready for the event from their room at the Ritz-Carlton in Midtown Manhattan.
This angered West, who ordered his lawyers to tell Kardashian that he believed it constituted “unauthorized exposure,” according to a source.
West is also furious over reports that North was left unattended in a vehicle during parts of the event, which he fears posed a security risk.
A source stated: “Kanye told Kim bluntly that he is explicitly opposed to the children being displayed on social media”.
Kardashian exploited her daughter’s image for ‘personal gain’
In a harsh rebuke, West also accused Kardashian, whom he was married to for six years before their separation in 2021, of exploiting North’s image for “personal or commercial gain” without his approval, according to the source.
What’s more, West claimed that he has been denied meaningful access to his children and has had no contact with his son Saint this year.
“Kanye’s interactions with North, Chicago and Psalm have been unreasonably restricted, which he says violates the custody agreement’s provisions on equal access and parental decision-making,” the source said.
“He wants Kim to delete from her social media the content of the children that she published without his consent and to stop posting photos and videos of the four children on social media platforms.”
She also does not want the children to attend any public event without her prior written consent.
Most importantly, according to the source, West is telling Kardashian that she must “facilitate regular and unrestricted access” to his children, including “immediate in-person visits.”
