Jordon Hudson, girlfriend of NFL coaching legend Bill Belichick, once again came close but fell short of winning the Miss Maine crown, finishing as second runner-up in this year’s pageant, which was one spot lower than her performance last year.
The 24-year-old former cheerleader advanced to the top ten and earned the Style Award, but was unable to secure the title.
Despite maintaining a composed demeanor, Hudson‘s disappointment was visible as the final results were announced.
During the Q&A portion of the competition, Hudson addressed recent public scrutiny and online criticism, delivering a pointed message to her critics.

“I hope anyone watching finds the strength to push through whatever they’re going through… hate never wins,” Hudson declared.
However, she was passed over for the Miss Congeniality honor, typically awarded to the most well-liked contestant by her peers.
Fans are not convinced by Hudson/Belichick relationship after car-crash CBS interview
Hudson has recently faced intense media attention over her relationship with 73-year-old Belichick, particularly after an awkward moment during a CBS News interview. When the interviewer asked how the couple met, Hudson quickly cut in.
“We’re not talking about that,” she explained.
The tension was palpable, and the moment quickly went viral, sparking widespread speculation about the nature of their relationship and the age gap between them.
Critics called it “cringe-worthy,” while some viewers defended Hudson‘s desire to maintain boundaries. Still, the sharp interjection and Belichick‘s visibly awkward silence fueled headlines and late-night punchlines for days.
Belichick is currently focusing on his new job as the head coach of the University of North Carolina football team, although there has already been a problem with Hudson asking to be CC’d on all of his work emails.

Whether or not this is sustainable for the university moving forward, we are yet to discover. It could well be that the presence of Hudson could detract from what many expect to be exemplary work from the former New England Patriots coach.
Belichick has been out of work for a year after his time in Foxboro came to an end, and whilst many thought he would return to the NFL, it appears that he wants to see out his remaining coaching years at the collegiate level.
Despite the controversy, Belichick was in attendance at the pageant, sitting in the front row alongside Hudson‘s father. The two appeared relaxed and engaged, chatting between segments of the show.
Ultimately, Shelby Powell of Bangor claimed the Miss Maine title and will go on to compete in the Miss USA pageant later this year.
