[–>Von Sommer 2018 bis November 2021 trainierte Gerrard die Rangers. Dann wechselte er zu Aston Villa. Die Engländer hatten Gerrard damals aus seinem Vertrag gekauft und 2,5 Millionen Euro für ihn gezahlt. Nach nicht mal einem Jahr wurde er aber wieder entlassen.
Seine letzte Station hatte er in Saudi Arabien bei Al-Ettifaq. Seit seiner Entlassung im Januar ist er ohne neuen Job. Die Rangers könnten das Sprungbrett sein, in England wieder Fuß zu fassen. Auch wenn die Scottish Premiership im europäischen Fußball kaum Relevanz hat.
Aber: Die Rangers werden mindestens Zweiter hinter Stadtrivale Celtic. Damit stehen sie in der zweiten Qualifikationsrunde der Champions League. Mit Gerrard könnten sie nächste Saison in der Königsklasse spielen.
Allerdings haben die Rangers wohl eine lange Liste möglicher Kandidaten: Gary O‘Neil (41, im Dezember bei Wolverhampton entlassen), Russell Martin (39, im Dezember bei Southampton entlassen) und Rob Edwards. (42) Letzterer bringt allerdings keine Premier-League-Erfahrung mit.
Fraglich ist auch, ob sich die Rangers tatsächlich für eine Gerrard-Rückkehr entscheiden würden oder lieber komplett frischen Wind wollen. Für Gerrard spricht: kein Trainer nach ihm konnte sich so lange auf der Position halten.

Im Februar wurde Philippe Clement entlassen, der Schotte Barry Ferguson übernahm als Interimstrainer. Ferguson spielte bei den Rangers, wurde dort ausgebildet und ging später in die Premier League. Fest steht aber: Im Sommer soll ein Neuer kommen – oder eben ein alter Bekannter.

Philadelphia Phillies center fielder Harrison Bader was not in the starting lineup for Game 2 of the NL Division Series because of a groin injury.Bader was injured running the bases in the Phillies' Game 1 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers.Manager Rob Thomson said imaging showed no major or tear or strain in Bader's groin and there was a possibility he could pinch hit Monday night."He’s going to test it out, but the only thing that is hindering Bader right now is just being able to run 100%.
