Schon wieder Verletzungspech beim SC Magdeburg!
Spielmacher Felix Claar (28), gerade erst von der schwedischen Nationalmannschaft zurück, musste das Training am Dienstag abbrechen. Jetzt droht der nächste Ausfall – und das ausgerechnet vor dem schweren Auswärtsspiel beim VfL Gummersbach (Donnerstag, 19 Uhr/Dyn).
Auf SPORT BILD-Nachfrage wird Trainer Bennet Wiegert (43) deutlich: „Ich bin gerade massiv enttäuscht, weil wir halt probiert haben, ihn trainieren zu lassen. Wir haben um 11.30 Uhr das Training gestartet und er hat zwei Schritte gemacht und gesagt, es geht nicht.“
[–>Er schiebt hinterher: „Die Enttäuschung ist wirklich gerade mal 20 Minuten alt. Ich weiß auch noch nicht richtig einzuschätzen, in welche Diagnostik das jetzt geht. Ich habe gehofft, dass es nur eine Prellung ist, aber jetzt momentan weiß ich es einfach noch nicht.“
Schon vor der Einheit war klar, dass Claar angeschlagen zurückkommt. Nun steht fest: Einsatz fraglich. Wiegert: „Wir haben es als nicht so schlimm angesehen, das, was uns gemeldet wurde, war eine Vorsichtsmaßnahme. So wie es jetzt aussieht, hat Felix größere Probleme als gedacht, ist nicht trainingsfähig gerade.“

Immerhin ist Claar der Einzige von sechs Nationalspielern (Portner, Lagergren, Pettersson, Claar, Kristjansson und Magnusson), der mit Problemen zurückkehrte und an eine längere Ausfallzeit glaubt der Magdeburg-Trainer nicht: „Ich rechne jetzt erst mal nicht damit, dass der uns jetzt monatelang ausfällt. Das ergibt sich mir gerade nicht. Aber jedes Spiel ist jetzt einfach wichtig für uns. Und da ist jeder Spieler auch Gold wert für uns.“
Am Donnerstag wartet mit dem VfL Gummersbach eine echte Herausforderung. Wiegert meint: „Gummersbach ist über Jahre eine sehr gute, ambitionierte, aufsteigende Mannschaft geworden. Gerade in Heimspielen sind sie immer bereit, zu punkten. Das wird gleich nach der Nationalmannschaftspause gerade auswärts eine Riesenaufgabe für uns sein, dort zu bestehen. Trotzdem wollen wir das natürlich, denn wir wollen dranbleiben. Und dazu benötigen wir Punkte in Gummersbach.“
