Auf den Spuren von Papa Mehmet?
Paul Scholl (18) wechselt vom FC Bayern zum KSC – zunächst auf Leihbasis. Ein längeres Engagement in Karlsruhe soll allerdings nicht ausgeschlossen sein. Darüber berichtet der TV-Sender Sky. Demnach soll der Medizincheck in den nächsten Tagen stattfinden.
[–>Schon lange versuchen die Bayern ihre Nachwuchsarbeit zu verbessern. Den Sprung zu den Profis schafft trotzdem kaum einer – erst recht nicht auf direktem Weg. Für den Sohn von Mehmet Scholl (54) heißt das: Bislang spielte er nur Regionalliga. Mit der Leihe zum KSC für die nächste Saison kann er 2. Liga spielen. Und wandelt auf den Spuren seines berühmten Vaters.
Im Wildpark kennt man den Namen Scholl bestens! Von 1989 bis zu seinem Wechsel zu Bayern 1992, spielte Vater Scholl für die Karlsruher. Zuvor durchlief der gebürtige Karlsruher diverse Jugendmannschaften des Vereins und schaffte dort den Durchbruch zu den Profis. Für 2,5 Millionen Euro ließ man ihn nach München ziehen.

Sein Sohn könnte es ihm jetzt gleichtun. Der Unterschied: In den 90ern war der KSC noch Erstligist. Für Paul Scholl ist der Wechsel trotzdem ein Schritt nach vorn.
Bei den Bayern durchlief er alle Jugendmannschaften, spielt seit letztem Sommer für die zweite Mannschaft des Rekordmeisters. Insgesamt stand er 24 Mal auf dem Platz, schoss dabei sogar ein Tor.
Auch für die Nationalmannschaft spielte der Scholl-Sohn bereits. Sechs Spiele für die U16, fünf Spiele für die U17 – jeweils unter Bundestrainer Christian Wück.

Für den KSC wird Scholl der erste Neuzugang des Sommers. Nach der Leihe sollen die Badener eine Kaufoption für den Innenverteidiger besitzen. Ein Weg, den auch schon David Herold ging. Auch er spielte bei den Bayern in der Jugend, wurde 2023 für ein Jahr an den KSC ausgeliehen und wechselte vergangenen Sommer dann fest in den Wildpark.
Offiziell soll Scholl dann nach dem Medizincheck vorgestellt werden.
