Der Shooting-Star steht kurz vor einem Wechsel zu Real Madrid. Laut Transfer-Experte Fabrizio Romano hat sich der Innenverteidiger vom AFC Bournemouth (aktuell Platz 10 der Premier League) mit den Königlichen auf einen Transfer geeinigt.
Für den spanischen Nationalspieler (zwei Länderspiele) überweist Real die Ausstiegsklausel von knapp 59 Mio. Euro nach Bournemouth, zehn Prozent gehen an Ex-Klub Juventus. Schon bei der Klub-WM (14. Juni bis 13. Juli) soll Huijsen für Real auf dem Platz stehen.
Für Bournemouth ist es die zweithöchste Ablösesumme der Klubgeschichte. Nur beim Verkauf von Dominic Solanke (27/64,3 Mio. an Tottenham) nahmen sie mehr ein.

Laut „SER Deportivo soll Vater Donny Huijsen zuvor eine Anwaltskanzlei beauftragt haben, um im Namen seines Sohnes Gespräche mit den Real-Bossen über einen Wechsel zu führen.
Real reagiert mit der Verpflichtung von Huijsen auf die großen Abwehr-Probleme. In dieser Saison präsentierten sich die Königlichen auch wegen zahlreichen Verletzungen defensiv nur selten sattelfest. Und: Die Verträge von David Alaba (32), Antonio Rüdiger (32) und Raúl Asencio (22/steht vor Vertrags-Verlängerung) laufen im Sommer 2026 aus, daneben steht für die kommende Saison nur noch Éder Militão (27) zur Verfügung.
