Der blanke Abstiegskampf mit ein bisschen Gift und Galle im Spiel der Handball-Bundesliga zwischen dem HC Erlangen und dem SC DHfK Leipzig.
Der HCE verliert beim 23:25 ganz sicher fest eingeplante Punkte und muss weiterhin immens um die Zugehörigkeit zur Bundesliga zittern. Ein Spiel, in dem die Abwehrreihen dominierten. Und vor dem Erlangens Macej Gebala, der nach sechs Jahren in Leipzig letzten Sommer zum HCE wechselte, bei Dyn ankündigte: „Wir brauchen die Punkte, Leipzig nicht so. Keiner hat Bock, gegen uns zu spielen. Wir sind leichter Favorit, geben Gas.“ Nach dem 3:3 (9.) war es dann auch so weit. Bei einem Tempogegenstoß kommt Isländer Viggo Kristjansson nach einem Foul von Landsmann Andri Runarsson zu Fall. Zwei Minuten gegen den Leipziger, Siebenmeter für den Gastgeber. Kristjansson, der im Winter für eine Ablöse von 300000 Euro ebenfalls aus Leipzig kam, verwandelt zum 8:5 (19.).
Dann Pfiffe in der Halle, als Leipzigs Kapitän Lukas Binder nach einem Gerangel mit Hampus Olsson, der ihm die Hand entgegenstreckte, dem Schweden ebendiese verweigerte.

Und es wird noch bunter: Kurz vor der Pause verdaddelt Leipzig die Führung, Kristjansson geht in den Tempogegenstoß, trifft zum 11:10 – und geht dabei theatralisch zu Boden. Stephan Seitz hatte ihn wohl ganz leicht berührt. Die Schiris entscheiden nach dem Videobeweis jedoch: Schauspielerei von Kristjansson, Zwei-Minuten-Strafe gegen ihn wegen Unsportlichkeit.

Das hat nach der Pause zunächst keine Folgen. Doch, angetrieben von einem starken Kristian Saeveras im Tor, drehen die Sachsen das Spiel. Nach 45 Minuten gelingt Lucas Krzikalla die Führung zum 21:22. In der Schlussphase macht Luca Witzke, der künftige Flensburger mit zwei Treffern den Deckel drauf.
HSV Hamburg – TVB Stuttgart 41:28
Zum Glück für den HCE verlor auch der TVB Stuttgart und bleibt im Tabellenkeller in Reichweite. Der kam in Hamburg sogar gleich mal richtig unter die Räder, verlor 28:41 (12:21). Damit erfüllte sich auch der Wunsch von Trainer Torsten Jansen: „Ich würde gegen Stuttgart gern mal zu Hause gewinnen.“ Das gelang bisher nämlich nur auswärts. Vor 2806 Zuschauern waren Frederik Bo Andersen und Moritz Sauter (je 7 Tore) die besten Werfer. Torwart Robin Haug kam nach seiner Vertragsverlängerung bis 2030 auf zehn Paraden.

Das Team von Juri Knorr rauschte haarscharf an einer Blamage gegen den Tabellenletzten vorbei. Die Fans trauten ihren Augen kaum, als der nach elf Minuten 7:3 führte. Und noch neun Minuten vorm Ende war der Underdog nach einem Siebenmeter von Nils Fuhrmann 24:21 vorn. Dann setzte das große Zittern ein und drei Tore von Juri Knorr brachten zunächst den Ausgleich, drei Treffer von Jon Lindencrone Andersen die plötzlich doch recht sichere Führung. Potsdam hat nur noch theoretische Chancen auf den Klassenerhalt.

The NBA G League Western Conference, left, and G League Championship trophies were on display at the Adventist Health Arena for a celebration event for the Kings’ win in the NBA G League Championship. The NBA's G League has come to an agreement with the Next Gen Basketball Players Union (NGBPU) on a collective bargaining agreement, the two sides announced Wednesday. The new CBA is scheduled to begin at tip off of the 2025-26 season and run for four years, through 2029. Notably, it represents a historic first, becoming the first multi-year CBA over the course of the G League's 25-year history.
