Stars und Trainer weg ++ Real-Talent auf der Liste – Wie der XXL-Umbruch bei Leverkusen läuft

Ein Jahr nach Bayer Leverkusens „Traum-Saison“ mit der ersten Meisterschaft der Vereinsgeschichte, wacht der Verein aus seinem süßen Traum auf. Erfolgstrainer Xabi Alonso (43) geht zu Real Madrid. Am vergangenen Sonntag wurde neben ihm auch Abwehrchef Jonathan Tah (29) verabschiedet. Der Nationalspieler geht ablösefrei. Wie es derzeit aussieht, kommt es in den nächsten Wochen zu einer Abwanderungswelle.

„Ich glaube, dass ein bisschen Bewegung in den Kader kommt“, drückt es Sportchef Simon Rolfes (43) diplomatisch aus. Waren im vergangenen Jahr nur Ergänzungsspieler wie Adam Hlozek (22/nach Hoffenheim) und mit ihrer Rolle unzufriedene Stars wie Odilon Kossounou (24/nach Bergamo) gegangen, brechen nun echte Leistungsträger weg. Rechtsaußen Jeremie Frimpong (24) kann dank einer Ausstiegsklausel für 40 Mio. weg. Der englische Meister Liverpool mit dem niederländischen Trainer Arne Slot (46) hält während der ganzen Saison Kontakt, sucht einen Ersatz für Trent Alexander-Arnold (26), der ablösefrei zu Real Ma­drid will. Jetzt soll der Deal über die Bühne gehen.

Linksaußen Alejandro Grimaldo (29) kokettiert immer wieder mit einem Wechsel zu einem spanischen Spitzenverein – wie Real mit Alonso. Jonas Hofmann (32) schaut sich nach einem neuen Verein um, bei dem er mehr Einsatzzeit bekommt. Der Trainerwechsel könnte aber zur neuen Chance bei Bayer werden. Gehen wird Torwart Matej Kovar (24). Die Leihspieler Mario Hermoso (29), Nordi Mukiele (27) und Emiliano Buendía (28) wurden schon verabschiedet.

Der wichtigste Spieler im Kader-­Puzzle ist Florian Wirtz (22). Leverkusen braucht seinen Weltstar eigentlich, um den Qualitätsverlust gering zu halten. Neue Spieler wie Ibrahim Maza (19), der für knapp über zehn Mio. Ablöse von Hertha BSC kommt, könnten sich an seiner Seite wahrscheinlich noch besser weiterentwickeln.

Geht Wirtz, ist ein dreistelliger Millionen-Betrag zusätzlich in der Kasse. Leverkusen könnte sich zum Beispiel Wunschtorwart Joan García (24) sofort von Espanyol Barcelona kaufen. Der soll rund 20 Mio. Euro kosten. Für die Abwehr muss ein neuer Chef her. Malick Thiaw (23) von der AC Mailand zählt zu den Kandidaten. Preisklasse: 25 Mio. Für die Außenbahnen müssen bei Abgängen neue Stars kommen. Entwicklungsfähig, aber schon auf Champions-League-Niveau. James McAtee (22) von Manchester City gilt als ein Ziel.

Geht Wirtz, wird womöglich ein Real-Spieler heiß: Arda Güler (20). Der türkische Offensiv-Spieler soll verliehen werden, um mehr Spielpraxis zu bekommen. Wegen der unkomplizierten Abwicklung des Alonso-Wechsels hat Leverkusen gute Karten bei Real und wäre genau der Verein, bei dem Güler den Schritt vom Talent zum Star machen könnte. Auch Como-Spieler Nico Paz (20), der bei Real ausgebildet wurde, könnte spannend werden. Er könnte gemeinsam mit seinem derzeitigen Trainer – Cesc Fàbregas (38) – kommen. Der Spanier, derzeit ebenfalls in Como unter Vertrag, soll der neue Trainer werden. Er ist der Wunschkandidat von Bayer, um das Alonso-Werk fortzusetzen. Damit der Ex-Meister zu neuem Glanz findet.
