Was hat sich die BBL dabei nur gedacht?! Ausgerechnet Anne Panther wurde von der Liga als Schiedsrichterin für das Play-In-Spiel MBC gegen Oldenburg benannt.
Die Weißenfelser ließen sich davon nicht aufhalten, besiegten die Niedersachsen mit 110:95 (51:42). Und haben jetzt im Viertelfinale am Samstag das erste Rendezvous bei den Bayern. Ob Anne Panther dann auch wieder dabei ist …?

Klare Worte, die Wirkung zeigen. Die Defense packt jetzt richtig zu und offensiv übernimmt Michael Devoe mit 16 Punkten bis zur Halbzeit (51:42). Jetzt scheinen sich die Prognosen zu bewahrheiten: Der MBC ist eines der heimstärksten Teams, Oldenburg extrem auswärtsschwach.
Und so geht es auch weiter: Ein 10:2-Lauf zu Beginn des dritten Viertels sorgt für die Vorentscheidung (61:44).

MBC-Routinier Akeem Vargas (35) freute sich schon vor dem Spiel unbändig auf das Duell gegen die Bayern. „Wir haben in der Saison dreimal gegen München gewonnen“, so Vargas, für den die Niederlage durch die Panther-Entscheidung nicht zählt. „Und der MBC gegen die Bayern — das ist doch das Duell, das ganz Basketball-Deutschland sehen will.“
