A proposta
Segundo o GE e o The Athletic, o atleta recebeu duas ofertas vindas do Brighton (Inglaterra). As duas propostas foram feitas com o mesmo valor em termos fixos, estimado em 5 milhões de euros (R$ 31,5 milhões); Mas ambas foram rejeitadas pelos botafoguenses.
Na primeira tentativa, os Seagulls incluíram valores de bônus por metas de 2 milhões de euros (R$ 12,6 milhões), com a segunda sendo aumentada para 3 milhões de euros (R$ 18.9 milhões) neste quesito. O Glorioso não quis abrir negociação com os ingleses por ver os valores como ‘baixos’ para a pedida a qual vê para negociar Cuiabano.

O valor mínimo ao qual o Botafogo deseja para poder tentar negociar o lateral é estimado em 10 milhões de euros (R$ 63 milhões). Para o Brighton, o atleta é visto como um jogador que pode agregar para o elenco da equipe, que deseja na próxima temporada da Premier League voltar a brigar mais forte por vagas nas copas europeias da próxima temporada.
As atuações do lateral, já desde a última temporada, tem atiçado o interesse do futebol europeu. Para os dirigentes do Glorioso, o interesse do Brighton no jogador não deve cessar e uma nova proposta por parte dos ingleses deverá acontecer. E até mesmo se espera que outros clubes se interessem e enviem ofertas pelo jogador.
