Sormani cravou qual é o grande favorito ao título da Copa Libertadores da América neste ano. No programa “Opinião Placar”, o comentarista citou o Palmeiras como o maior candidato neste momento.
“É o grande favorito para ganhar o título. Acho que chega muito encorpado”, avaliou o jornalista sobre o Verdão.
A equipe comandada pelo português Abel Ferreira vive fase espetacular na competição. Com 15 pontos no grupo G, o time da Barra Funda está com 100% de aproveitamento e já garantiu a primeira colocação geral no torneio.
O treinador europeu conquistou a Libertadores duas vezes, em 2020 e 2021. Em 2022 e 2023, o Palmeiras chegou longe, mas acabou caindo nas fase de semifinal, para Athletico Paranaense e Boca Juniors, respectivamente. No ano passado, a queda foi precoce, nas oitavas de final para o campeão Botafogo.
Quem ameaça o Palmeiras?
O Flamengo é um dos cotados para levantar o troféu em 2025. O Rubro-Negro possui um grande elenco e sonha em ser o primeiro clube brasileiro tetracampeão da competição.
No entanto, apesar de todo poder aquisitivo, o Fla faz campanha irregular na fase de grupos. A vitória contra a LDU nesta semana aliviou o momento ruim, porém a equipe carioca ainda não garantiu a vaga e soma oito pontos no grupo C, contra 11 do Central Córdoba.
O River Plate, da Argentina, é outro forte candidato. Acostumado a chegar longe na Libertadores, o time comandado por Marcelo Gallardo venceu o torneio pela última vez em 2018, em final histórica contra o rival Boca.
Sormani decreta favorito no Brasileirão
Além da Libertadores, o Palmeiras é favorito também no Campeonato Brasileiro, de acordo com opinião do comentarista.
“Acho que é o favorito a ganhar a Libertadores e é favorito para ganhar o Brasileirão também”, definiu Sormani.
O Verdão é líder do Brasileirão com 19 pontos, tendo o Flamengo e Red Bull Bragantino como adversários mais próximos, ambos com 17. O próximo jogo é justamente contra o Bragantino, no domingo (18), às 18h30 (de Brasília), no interior de São Paulo.
