The Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes enjoy a close bond on the NFL field, but even their chemistry can’t survive politics as it’s claimed Kelce and Taylor Swift dodge the topic around the quarterback and his wife.
Brittany Mahomes, who enjoyed a tight friendship with the Eras Tour star until the 2024 United States Presidential Election when she endorsed Donald Trump online and hit out at criticism she received.

That appeared to prompt the 35-year-old popstar to open up some distance to the 29-year-old mom-of-three, Swift being an outspoken liberal who endorsed Kamala Harris as well as being the victim of personal attacks from Trump.
There’s no bad blood between the quartet however. They simply choose not to dicuss the topic to avoid any flashpoints in their world philosophies and their ideas of how to fix the USA.

“One thing that is good,” an insider told thedailymail.com. “It isn’t causing any drama with his teammates as of yet.
“Especially with Brittany Mahomes being a Trump supporter. There is no ill will with Patrick. They don’t talk about politics around each other.”
However, Kelce was left livid with the 78-year-old President’s comments about his girlfriend, believing she should be left out of the political sphere after Trump claimed Swift is “no longer hot”, and that he “hates” her.
“Travis is furious that the President of the United States is talking about his girl in this way,” a source told the dailymail.com. “It’s below the belt and there is no need for it.
“He is using it as motivation to be the best he can be on the field, especially if Trump keeps it up.”
No break-up fears for Kelce ahead of NFL season
Kelce and Swift remain solid as a rock, despite reports they could be set to call it quits over the NFL offseason following Travis’ Super Bowl LIX humiliation against the Philadelphia Eagles and Taylor’s snub at the 2025 Grammys.
Recently, they were spotted heading out for dinner in Philadelphia for Mother’s Day with the rest of Kelce’s family on May 11, showing that there’s no tension behind closed doors. In fact, sources claim Swift is very good for him.
“She has been the best for his total well-being,” a source added to the dailymail.com. “He is extremely happy with life right now.
“And that is the headspace he wants to be in – it is going to help immensely with getting ready for the NFL season to come.”
Kelce will bid to win his fourth Super Bowl championship in the 2025/26 NFL season and avenge the loss at the Caesars Superdome on February 9, in what is the final year of his deal with the Chiefs before a prospective retirement arrives for the 35-year-old tight end.
