Shedeur Sanders had a nightmare during the NFL draft. The former Colorado player was selected by the Browns with the 144th pick, which caused quite a stir. He was expected to be selected among the top 10, but that did not happen.
Sanders and his family were ridiculed and made into memes on social media. Fortunately, everything ended well when he joined Cleveland, although this move was also criticized due to the Browns‘ depth at the quarterback position.

The former general manager was one of the people who supported selecting Baker Mayfield to join the Browns in 2018. McCloughan took a chance on Mayfield, despite many doubts, and Baker ultimately delivered.
McCloughan has the same feeling about Shedeur Sanders, and he explained it in detail on the 92.3 The Fan program.
“What is Shedeur doing? He’s talking to his offensive line, running backs, and receivers. They’re just talking football. You could tell everyone was watching him and listening to him. He was their leader, by far,” said the former GM.
“I gave him a first-round grade, and I don’t like giving those as if they’re a big deal. In my opinion, he was the best quarterback in this draft,” Scot concluded.
These are surprising words, but they show that people with NFL experience have no doubt about Shedeur Sanders‘s enormous abilities. Ultimately, the quarterback will have the final say, and the pressure will be on him. We’ll see how he handles it, as it will be a big challenge.
His numbers back him up, and his hard work at rookie minicamp has been the talk of the town. He is said to be putting in extra time, which has Cleveland fans excited.
