Steht das Herzstücks Barças vor dem Absprung in die Premier League?
Manchester City und Trainer Pep Guardiola (54) sind eifrig dabei, die Lücken im Mittelfeld zu füllen. Kevin De Bruyne (33) wird den Klub mit noch unbekanntem Ziel verlassen. Hätte Pep einen Wunsch frei, dann würde Florian Wirtz (22) seinen Weg nach England finden. City soll Leverkusen bereits ein Angebot unterbreitet haben.
Wenn’s nichts wird mit Wirtz, dann soll Pep nach spanischen Berichten die Augen auf einen Star seines Ex-Klubs geworfen haben: Barcelonas Dani Olmo.
Aber was ist dran an einer möglichen „Skyblues“-Zukunft des Edeltechnikers?

Jetzt räumt auch Andy Bara, Olmos Agent mit den Gerüchten über bereits stattgefundene Gespräche auf. „Darin steckt kein Fünkchen Wahrheit“, sagte er gegenüber „Sky“. Die Unsicherheiten um Olmos Registrierung bei Barcelona schürten die Spekulationen, dass der Verein versucht sein könnte, den Ex-RB-Spieler zu verkaufen. Bara betont: „Wir sprechen mit keinem anderen Klub. Dani ist momentan sehr glücklich in Barcelona, gewinnt Titel und ist Teil eines großartigen Teams.“ Die Gerüchte seien schlichtweg falsch.

Und auch Barcelona selbst hat kein Interesse, Olmo ziehen zu lassen. Sportdirektor Deco unterstreicht: „Dani Olmo wird nächste Saison ein sehr wichtiger Spieler sein. Wir wussten, was er uns alles geben kann.“
Was ebenfalls nicht für Trennung spricht: Olmos Rückkehr nach Katalonien lag ihm offenbar so sehr am Herzen (kam für 55 Mio. Euro von Leipzig), dass er die finanziellen Schwierigkeiten Barcelonas in Kauf nahm. Insofern sei ein erneuter Abschied im kommenden Sommer ausgeschlossen, so Bara. Aber: „Man weiß nie, was die Zukunft bringt“, sagte der Agent.
