PSV Eindhoven won the Dutch title on a tense final day in the Eredivisie — after previous league leaders collapsed in the run-in, blowing a nine-point lead.
Peter Bosz’s side led Ajax by one point going into the final round of matches, with PSV away to 11th-place Sparta Rotterdam and the Amsterdam side hosting FC Twente, who began the day in sixth.

It was the conclusion to a remarkable few weeks in the Netherlands, which had seen Ajax collect just two points in the space of four games to squander the league and ensure PSV clinched back-to-back titles.
Both PSV and Ajax took the lead just after the midway point in the first half as Ivan Perisic scored for the league leaders in Rotterdam and Jordan Henderson gave Ajax the lead over Twente.
However, Sparta equalised seven minutes after half-time through Gijvai Zechiel — meaning that Ajax had gone top of the live table.
PSV restored their lead through Luuk de Jong six minutes later and USMNT international Malik Tillman sealed the points with six minutes later to give them a 3-1 lead.
Wout Weghorst added a second for Ajax in injury time but by that time, the party celebrations at PSV had already begun.

Ajax had defeated PSV in both league meetings between the sides this season, including a two-goal victory in Eindhoven on March 30 which had appeared to be decisive in the title race.
That win had given Francesco Farioli’s side a nine-point lead at the top of the table with just seven rounds of matches remaining.
Ajax were on a run of collecting 40 points from an unbeaten 14-match unbeaten run in the Eredivisie, while PSV had gone on a run of just two wins from nine leagues games from mid-December to early March — a run of results which included surprise defeats to Heerenveen, PEC Zwolle and Go Ahead Eagles.
Yet PSV won all seven of their remaining matches — including coming from two goals down to secure a 3-2 win at rivals Feyenoord in the last-minute.
Ajax, meanwhile, collapsed; Farioli’s side lost 4-0 at FC Utrecht and 3-0 at home to NEC Nijmegen, while they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Sparta Rotterdam and 2-2 at Groningen on the penultimate matchday, when they conceded a 90th-minute equaliser.
