Porque Flamengo e Botafogo foi um clássico sabotado

Pulgar, Allan, Arrascaeta, Plata, Artur, Savarino, Bastos, Barboza, Mastriani… Pode parecer estranho começar a análise de um clássico com uma relação de jogadores que não estavam em campo. Mas, por vezes, esta é a única maneira de mergulhar mais fundo nas razões que, com tanta frequência, fazem jogos de futebol no Brasil nos desapontarem. Entre contusões por traumas, lesões musculares, desgastes, preservações e controles de cargas, termos recentemente incorporados à rotina dos nossos clubes diante da insanidade do calendário, a maratona de jogos vive sabotando a saúde dos jogadores, o rendimento dos times e, claro, a qualidade das partidas.

O Flamengo x Botafogo de ontem ajudou a dar a dimensão de quantos jogos atraentes, cercados de expectativas, acabam por decepcionar. Dos dois lados da arquibancada, a tendência era tentar imaginar o que as equipes teriam feito sem tantos desfalques, ou ao menos o que poderiam produzir com mais tempo de recuperação e preparação entre uma partida e outra.

O jogo termina por expor, também, o que ainda falta a alvinegros e rubro-negros. Porque ao buscarem reposição para as ausências, os dois rivais permitiram identificar carências que a última janela de transferências não resolveu.

Em boa parte do primeiro tempo, o volume de jogo foi do Flamengo. Ainda não foi ontem que Arrascaeta e Pedro jogaram juntos, e a boa pressão rubro-negra na saída de bola rival parecia validar a tese de Filipe Luís: precisa ter um time fisicamente equilibrado para sustentar seu modelo de jogo. Bruno Henrique e Cebolinha atacavam os zagueiros do Botafogo na primeira pressão, deixando Pedro por trás deles, vigiando Gregore, talvez para evitar seguidos sprints de Pedro, preservando o físico do centroavante.

O Flamengo jogava no campo ofensivo, mas exibia um problema recorrente. Sem Arrascaeta e com Gérson suspenso, faltavam os dois meias ofensivos. Bruno Henrique e Luiz Araújo dividiam a função de jogar por trás de Pedro, mas nenhum deles é o tipo de jogador criativo para fabricar chances de gol a partir de soluções em espaço curto. Bruno Henrique, quando se via na função de segundo atacante, encontrando alguns metros de campo para conduzir a bola, fez boa partida.

Aos poucos, no entanto, o Botafogo encontrava soluções para saltar a pressão do Flamengo e ter um desafogo. Neste ponto, Rwan Cruz e Igor Jesus tinham um papel importante ao disputar bolas mais longas, de costas para a defesa rubro-negra. A partir daí, uma solução de Renato Paiva funcionava. Allan, opção para o lugar de Artur, defendia pelo lado direito, mas se tornava mais um meio-campista quando o Botafogo atacava. Isso dava ao alvinegro mais ocupação no setor. Inclusive para ganhar as segundas bolas disputadas pelos atacantes.

Ao se colocar em campo ofensivo, o Botafogo explorava espaços entre meias e defensores do Flamengo, mas parece ainda estar em busca dos jogadores que assumam o caráter decisivo de alguns nomes que saíram após 2024. Ainda mais num jogo em que não teve Savarino e Artur, o que nos remete outra vez ao calendário. Rwan Cruz não foi bem.

Passava o tempo, piorava o jogo. O Flamengo sentia o desgaste da decisão que jogara na quinta-feira, já que repetira oito titulares da vitória sobre a LDU. O Botafogo era melhor na segunda etapa, mas esbarrava na falta de definição — a melhor chance, um chute de Marlon Freitas, virou grande defesa de Rossi.

Não é por acaso que o esboço de pressão do Flamengo no fim tenha se dado após as cinco substituições, com fôlego renovado. Mas, sem Arrascaeta e já sem Pedro, outra vez a falta de gol do elenco dava a sensação de que o placar não sairia do zero. De fato, não saiu. E o calendário brasileiro tem muito a ver com isso.

Desperdício

O Fluminense controlou o Juventude no primeiro tempo. Mas a formação de meio não dava ao time agressividade: pouca gente pisava a área. Ainda assim, o tricolor teve boas chances e não aproveitou. Com muitos desfalques e sem opções para definir jogadas, o time caiu no segundo tempo. O gol de Hércules é um bom sinal: ele tem muito a crescer. Já o uso de Renato Augusto como 9 não ajudou. Ficaram dois pontos no caminho.

Placar contundente

O Vasco teve seus méritos para fazer 3 a 0 num time competitivo como o Fortaleza. Mas os gols no início dos dois tempos criaram o cenário favorável ao time de Fernando Diniz, que ainda assim cedeu oportunidades ao adversário na primeira etapa. Merecem destaque Paulo Henrique, Nuno Moreira e, claro, Vegetti. Com pouco tempo de treino, Diniz tenta implantar de forma gradual os aspectos mais autorais de seu jogo. Por ora, quer competir.

Processo viciado

Das tantas questões estruturais do futebol brasileiro, a mais urgente emergiu no acelerado processo eleitoral da CBF: a entidade precisa urgentemente de uma reforma política. Não é saudável uma confederação que não tem uma disputa eleitoral há 40 anos, resultado de cláusulas de barreira que bloqueiam concorrentes. Tampouco é saudável uma eleição ser marcada dez dias antes de sua realização. O país é refém de um grupo de federações.
