Der HSV Hamburg holte nach vier Pleiten in der Ferne mal wieder einen Auswärtssieg in der Handball-Bundesliga.
Beim SC DHfK Leipzig (zuvor zwei Siege in Folge) gelang ein 29:25. Souverän. Und mit einer Ansage schon vorm Spiel, die ausgerechnet von Leipzigs Hallensprecher kam. Sascha Röser heizte die 4700 Fans in seiner bekannten lautstarken Manier für das vorletzte Heimspiel der Saison an. Und erinnerte dabei auch an einen historischen Moment.
Handball: Hallensprecher des Gegners machte Star vom HSV Hamburg heiß
Denn nach dem Aufstieg der DHfK in die Bundesliga war im Jahr 2015 der HSV erster Gegner – und wurde 31:27 bezwungen. Das Ergebnis wurde wegen der Insolvenz der Hamburger zwar später wieder annulliert, ist aber allen noch in bester Erinnerung. Vor allem den aktuellen Spielern Lukas Binder, Lucas Krzikalla und Franz Semper, die schon damals dabei waren.

HSV-Linksaußen Casper Mortensen war damals ebenfalls dabei. Und nachdem er diese Worte hörte, gab er mit seiner Mannschaft erst richtig Gas. Der Däne sagte: „Ich fand es super, dass der Hallensprecher gesagt hatte, kurz nach dem Aufwärmen, das es Leipzigs erster Sieg nach dem Aufstieg war. Da war ich und Jogi (Sportdirektor Jogi Bitter, d. Red.) dabei. Danke für die Erinnerung! Das war eine gute Motivation. Wir haben eine konstante Leistung über 60 Minuten gezeigt. Es war ein verdienter Sieg.“

Sehr zum Leidwesen von Leipzig-Trainer Runar Sigtryggsson: „Hamburg war deutlich präsenter als wir. Man kann schlecht spielen, sich aber nicht so in der Abwehr präsentieren. Es sind ganz wenige Leute in meiner Mannschaft, die in den Spiegel gucken und sagen können, sie haben ihr Bestes gegeben.“
