Beim norwegischen Handball-Meisterschaftsfinale zwischen Kolstad und Elverum ist Kolstad-Trainer Christian Berge (51) während der zweiten Spielhälfte zusammengebrochen. Der Norweger wurde sofort medizinisch betreut und stabilisiert und befindet sich aktuell auf dem Weg der Besserung.

Nach seinen eigenen Angaben soll ein Herzflimmern Grund des Zusammenbruchs gewesen sein. Gegenüber dem TV-Sender TV2 sagte er, dass er das schon einmal hatte, aber unter Kontrolle bringen konnte. Jetzt verlor er völlig die Kontrolle über seinen Körper. Er sei müde und erschöpft, aber wieder auf den Beinen und in Anbetracht der Bedingungen in guter Verfassung. Er wird nun zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt weiter untersucht.

„Alle meine Gedanken sind bei Christian. Es ist mein bester Freund“, sagte Kolstads zweiter Trainer Stian Gomo direkt nach dem Spiel gegenüber TV 2 und brach in Tränen aus. „Ich bin unglaublich stolz auf die Mannschaft. Als wir da standen, habe ich gesagt, wir machen das für Christian. Und wir haben es geschafft.”

Nach der Unterbrechung wegen des Notfalls wurde das Spiel zu Ende gebracht. Kolstad gewann 31:28 und wurde Meister. In diesem Fall nur eine Nebensache. In der Kabine konnte Berge seinen Spielern schon wieder gratulieren.
