O desejo de Leila Pereira em manter Abel Ferreira no Palmeiras pode ter ficado mais perto de se tornar realidade, Mas, para que a renovação do vínculo do treinador possa acontecer de fato, a presidente palmeirense terá de esperar mais um pouco.

Neste caso, até o final do Mundial de Clubes da Fifa. Segundo a ESPN, toda e qualquer conversa entre o Verdão e o português para definir de vez o assunto só deverá acontecer assim que se encerrar a participação do time no torneio a ser disputado em junho nos Estados Unidos.
Muito da decisão passa não apenas pelo foco ao qual Abel quer dar ao Mundial, que é a prioridade do Palmeiras neste momento da temporada. Agora, com a equipe liderando o Brasileirão e, mais uma vez, firmando a melhor campanha da fase de grupos da Libertadores, o pensamento por uma permanência pode ter mudado e a renovação de Abel Ferreira até 2027, quando se encerra o mandato da presidente palmeirense, fica mais próxima de acontecer.
