Jsem za toto nové dobrodružství tak vděčná, ale už se těším na návrat na dráhu v roce 2026,“ uvedla dále i se zřetelným nastíněním plánu, že končit rozhodně s atletikou na nejvyšší úrovni nehodlá.
Úřadující halová mistryně světa na 60 m a její přítel i trenér Florian Clivaz se rodiči stávají poprvé, miminko se má narodit na podzim.
Ale závodnice z Bernu netají i plán na rychlou cestu k dalším sportovním cílům.
„Nebudeme se do ničeho hnát, ale už v roce 2026 chci být opět schopná běhat s nejlepšími,“ uvedla Kambundjiová v již širší tiskové zprávě. „A v roce 2028 v Los Angeles bych se ráda potřetí za sebou dostala do olympijského finále na 100 metrů.“
Naposledy závodila před týdnem v Dauhá. Tam si uvědomila, že kvůli těhotenství už není v plné síle. „Cítila jsem, jak se mi mění tělo,“ poznamenala poté, co tento týden novinku ohlásila sportovní veřejnosti.
