Casagrande não economizou nas críticas ao avaliar a atuação de Atlético-MG e Corinthians, no embate das duas equipes ocorrido na Arena MRV, neste sábado (24), pela 10ª rodada do Brasileirão. Na concepção do comentarista, a dupla vai figurar no meio de tabela, dado o nível inferior.
Em texto publicado no UOL Esporte após o empate em BH, Casão foi incisivo ao prospectar o que se esperar dos dois times no certame dos pontos corridos, e classificou que o foco de ambos deve ser as competições copeiras.
“Ficou claro que Atlético-MG e Corinthians não querem nada com o Campeonato Brasileiro e vão “apostar todas as fichas” nas Copas do Brasil e na Sul-Americana. Portanto, seus torcedores se acostumem com jogos ruins, poucos gols e muito sofrimento”, disse Casagrande.
“Corinthians e Galo precisam vencer para passarem direto para o mata-mata, mas também podem precisar jogar a repescagem com os terceiros da Libertadores. Mas eles poderão também ser eliminados e sobrar só a Copa do Brasil, já que largaram o Brasileiro”, concluiu o ex-jogador.
Olho na tabela
Diante do empate registrado na Arena MRV, o Galo chegou aos 14 pontos e perdeu uma posição na tabela, caindo para o 10º lugar. O Timão, por sua vez, aparece com o mesmo índice de pontuação, mas leva vantagem nos critérios de desempate. O alvinegro se mantém na 8ª posição, mas pode cair na classificação.
Pelo certame nacional, os dois voltam a campo no próximo final de semana, recebe o Vitória, no domingo (01), enquanto o Atlético-MG sai para enfrentar o Ceará, no Castelão.
Casagrande já sinalizou campeão
Em live no UOL Esporte durante a semana, Casagrande disse acreditar que o Palmeiras vai brigar por todos os títulos nesta temporada. Na concepção do comentarista, o técnico Abel Ferreira tem o plantel mais qualificado desde que chegou ao Verdão há cinco anos.
Na concepção dele, o time palestrino está encaixado e com elenco pronto para brigar ainda por Libertadores e Copa do Brasil. Sobre a Série A em específico, ele destacou a possibilidade do time abrir boa frente uma vez que encara Flamengo e Cruzeiro, em sequências, times que são concorrentes diretos.
