Flávio Prado considera Léo Ortiz um dos melhores zagueiros do futebol brasileiro. Na disputa do flamenguista com Gustavo Gómez, do Palmeiras, o jornalista não teve dúvidas em apontar o camisa 3 rubro-negro como superior.
