Real Madrid had a VIP spectator in their match against Coviran Granada in the penultimate round of the Regular League. Luka Doncic, a legend with the team, watched the game in the front row of the Movistar Arena alongside club president, Florentino Pérez.
The Slovenian superstar received a standing ovation from the fans before the start of the game. Perez gave Doncic a pair of jerseys as a souvenir: one with his surname and the other with his daughter’s name. But what impressed basketball fans around the world was the fact that Luka looked in great shape.
And social media users had some comments about Luka Doncic’s physical condition. “You can tell how much his face has slimmed down. He going crazy this year,” an X user wrote. “He just eliminated foods that cause inflammation. Inflammation could make him look twice as big without actual weight,” somebody else added. “Not the first time he’s been in his best shape in the offseason,” another person added.
“Luka Magic” wants to pull a major trick
Luka Doncic, nicknamed “Luka Magic“, stands as a prime example of the reservoir of talent Europe has often contributed to the NBA. Transcending geographical boundaries, his journey from the heart of Slovenia to the grand stage of American basketball has made him one of Europe’s premier NBA exports.
Born on Slovenia, Luka started basketball under the mentorship of his father, Sasa Doncic, a former professional basketball player and coach. He quickly gained national fame, dominating youth leagues in Slovenia, and piqued the interest of European powerhouse Real Madrid.
At 15, the young phenom was already training with the first team and made his professional debut at 16, becoming the youngest debutant in Real Madrid’s illustrious history. During his five-year tenure in Spain, Doncic helped Real Madrid win three league titles, two Copas del Rey, the Euroleague championship, and the prestigious Intercontinental Cup.
