‘Horizon’ es la saga de películas del oeste que Kevin Costner está escribiendo, dirigiendo y grabando. Afrontando actualmente la segunda película, Costner no está teniendo la aceptación entre el público que le gustaría. De hecho, la productora New Line Cinema, que ayudó con la financiación, demandó a Costner por impagos. Esto es porque, de los 100 millones de presupuesto, solo se han recuperado mediante la taquilla, 38 millones en todo el mundo.
Pero este no es el único de los problemas de Costner. Se ha conocido la denuncia de una especialista, Devyn Labella, que alega haber emprendido accones legales por haber sido victima de acoso sexual, laboral y discriminación.
La doble afirma haber sido exigida a participar en una escena de violación “violenta, ausente del guion y no prevista en el plan de rodaje”, algo que es ilegal, ya que, por contrato, los especialistas y actores deben conocer con antelación sus papeles, y no pueden recibir instrucciones de ultima hora para llevar a cabo escenas de índole sexual o que les exija aparecer desnudas.
Devyn Labella: “Me sentí expuesta, desprotegida y traicionada”
Labella ha compartido un comunicado denunciando esta situación, donde se pueden leer las siguientes sentencias: “Aquel día me sentí expuesta, desprotegida y traicionada por un sistema que promete seguridad y profesionalismo (…) Esta experiencia ha despertado en mí una misión de por vida para ser la defensora que yo necesité, asegurándome de que nadie quede en una situación así de vulnerable”
La respuesta ha llegado rápidamente por parte del equipo legal del actor, siendo su abogado, Martin D. Singer quien se ha pronunciado por su cliente, denominando a Labella como “una denunciante en serie” que “se contradice con sus propias acciones”. Además, defiende a Costner, al que considera alguien muy comprometido con la seguridad de las personas que trabajan con él.
