Kommt der Wirtz-Ersatz von Real? – Ten Hags Einkaufsliste für die Bayern-Jagd

Direkt nach seiner Vorstellung als neuer Trainer von Bayer Leverkusen begann für Erik ten Hag (55) die Arbeit. Montagnachmittag saß er mit Sportchef Simon Rolfes (43) und seinem F­ußball-Boss Kim ­Falkenberg (37) zusammen. Kaderplanung – eine Mammutaufgabe in diesem Jahr. Der entthronte Meister steht vor einem großen Umbruch mit reichlich Geld. Allein der Verkauf von Top-Star Florian Wirtz (22) an den FC Liverpool bringt bis zu 150 Millionen Euro.

Leverkusen wird mit dem Geld das Gesicht der Mannschaft verändern. Fünf, sechs, sieben Spieler kommen in diesem Sommer. Ten Hag kann seine Wünsche einbringen. „Mit der Planung gehen wir jetzt ins Detail“, sagt der Holländer, der bis 2027 unterschrieben hat und drei neue Co-Trainer bekommt. „Wir müssen Entscheidungen treffen.“

[–>Die erste soll in der Abwehr fallen. Bayer braucht zwei Innenverteidiger. Darunter einen Ersatz für Abwehrchef Jonathan Tah (29), der ablösefrei zum FC Bayern wechselt. Ein Kandidat ist Malick Thiaw (23) von der AC Mailand. Der Vertrag des deutschen Nationalspielers gilt bei den Italienern bis 2027. Die Ablöse liegt zwischen 20 und 25 Mio. Euro. Thiaw würde mit seiner Zweikampfstärke und seiner Spieleröffnung gut zum technischen Ansatz von ten Hag passen.

Der Nachfolger von Xabi Alonso (43), der am Montag bei Real Madrid vorgestellt wurde, gilt als Talentförderer. Das konnte er in seiner Zeit bei Ajax Amsterdam (2017 bis 2022) besser unter Beweis stellen als anschließend bei Manchester United (2022 bis 2024). Was nicht bedeutet, dass Leverkusen nur noch junge Spieler verpflichtet. Ten Hag will und soll weitere Titel mit dem Double-Sieger von 2024 einfahren. „Ich will gewinnen“, sagt er. „Leverkusen hat in den letzten Jahren eine Siegerkultur geschaffen.“

Deshalb werden auch erfahrene Spieler kommen. Bayer sucht eine neue Nummer 1 fürs Tor. Die Wunschlösung ist Joan García (24) von Espanyol Barcelona. Der soll allerdings über 20 Millionen Euro Ablöse kosten. Eine Alternative ist der in Deutschland bei Alemannia Aachen ausgebildete Holländer Mark Flekken (31). Der 1,95 Meter große Nationaltorwart der Niederlande, der bis 2023 für Freiburg in der Bundesliga spielte, steht bis 2027 bei Brentford in England unter Vertrag. Ablöse: rund zehn Mio. Euro.

Leverkusen benötigt zudem einen rechten Außenverteidiger als Ersatz für Jeremie Frimpong (24), der wie Wirtz nach Liverpool geht (Ablöse: 35 Mio.) – und Verstärkungen für die Offensive. Nico Paz (20) von Como 1907 bleibt trotz der Absage von Wunschtrainer Cesc Fàbgregas (38) ein Kandidat für die nun freie Spielmacher-Position. Real Madrid kann den Argentinier per Klausel für rund zehn Mio. zurückholen. Ein Weiterverkauf nach Leverkusen ist nach dem reibungslosen Alonso-Wechsel zu den Königlichen eine realistische Variante.

„Wir schreiben eine neue Geschichte“, sagt Rolfes in Richtung seines Trainers. „Erik hat bewiesen, dass er Titel gewinnen kann. Das ist auch ein Ziel für uns.“

Bei einem Zweijahres-Vertrag für den Trainer bedeutet das: Leverkusen will Meister Bayern in der nächsten Saison wieder angreifen.
