Jetzt spricht Joao Palhinha (29) über seine Zukunft.
Im Interview mit dem portugiesischen TV-Sender „Canal 11“ erklärt der Mittelfeld-Star des FC Bayern: „Ich werde nicht ruhen, bis ich mich beim FC Bayern durchgesetzt habe. So habe ich es bisher in allen Klubs gemacht. Als Spieler bei Sporting dachte ich auch nicht mehr, dass ich noch die Wende schaffe, als ich nach Braga ausgeliehen wurde.“
[–>Palhinha galt als Wunschspieler von Ex-Trainer Thomas Tuchel, im Sommer 2024 kam er für eine Ablöse in Höhe von fast 50 Mio. Euro von Fulham zum FC Bayern. Gespielt hat er allerdings nicht oft, auch wegen eines Muskelbündelrisses: In der Bundesliga kam er in der abgelaufenen Saison nur auf 17 Einsätze, elfmal davon wurde er eingewechselt. In der Champions League stand er fünfmal auf dem Platz (insgesamt 171 Minuten), im DFB-Pokal zweimal.
Seitdem er in München ist, ist sein Marktwert von 55 Mio. Euro auf 40 Mio. gesunken (Quelle: transfermarkt.de). Über einen Abgang nach nur wenigen Monaten wurde schnell spekuliert. Sportdirektor Christoph Freund stellte aber klar, dass er bleibt. Und was sagt Palhinha selbst?
Der portugiesische Nationalspieler deutlich: „Ich möchte meinen Vertrag bei den Bayern (bis 2028, d.Red.) erfüllen. Ich weiß nicht, was die Zukunft bringt, aber ich will nach Portugal zurückkehren – und das werde ich auch. Am liebsten zu Sporting, denn das ist der Klub, den ich am meisten liebe.“

Palhinha kam 2013 in die Jugend von Sporting Lissabon, im Januar 2017 machte er sein erstes Pflichtspiel für die Profis. Danach folgten 94 weitere Partien für die Portugiesen, 2022 wechselte er für knapp 25 Mio. Euro nach England zu Fulham. Zuvor gewann er mit Sporting 2021 die Meisterschaft.
Übrigens: Auch Sechser-Konkurrent Leon Goretzka (30) will seinen 2026 auslaufenden Vertrag erfüllen, dazu heizt DFB-Juwel Tom Bischof (19/ablösefrei aus Hoffenheim) den Kampf um den Platz neben Joshua Kimmich (30) neu an. Für die Zukunft soll dort Aleksandar Pavlovic (21) die Nase vorne haben. Palhinha muss also um seinen Startelf-Platz schwer kämpfen.
