In der Bietigheimer EgeTrans-Arena wird am Sonntag (18 Uhr, live bei Dyn/Anzeige) der ultimative Keller-Kracher zwischen der SG BBM Bietigheim und dem HC Erlangen angeworfen.
Unter bestimmten Voraussetzungen könnte es für die Erlanger, bei deren Heimspielen oft Manuel Neuer (39) an der Seite seiner Gattin Anika auf der Tribüne sitzt, schon um alles gehen. Anika Neuer ist die Tochter des Erlanger Klub-Präsidenten Dr. Carsten Bissel, ihr Bruder Christopher Bissel ist der Kapitän des HCE.
Der 1. VfL Potsdam steht als Absteiger bereits fest, Erlangen liegt nach der 23:34-Klatsche gegen den SC Magdeburg auf dem zweiten Abstiegsrang. Der HCE hat wie Bietigheim und der TVB Stuttgart 14 Pluspunkte sowie die beste Tordifferenz im Direkt-Vergleich. Aber Erlangen hat nur noch zwei Spiele zu absolvieren.
Fiktive Rechnung: Sollten Bietigheim gegen die SG Flensburg-Handewitt und Stuttgart bei den Rhein-Neckar Löwen am Donnerstag (beide 19 Uhr, live bei Dyn) überraschend jeweils einen Punkt holen, wäre Erlangen am Sonntag in Bietigheim noch mehr zum Siegen verdammt.
„Es geht um die Klasse und alles für uns“, sagte Erlangens Rückraum-Isländer Viggo Kristjansson (31) nach der einkalkulierten Pleite gegen Magdeburg am Dyn-Mikro. „Das wird ein schweres Spiel, keine Frage. Für uns geht es darum, an uns zu glauben.“
