Mistr světa z roku 2022 Čeh měl velmi vyrovnanou a kvalitní sérii. Všech pět měřených pokusů poslal za 68 metrů, hranici 69 překonal dvakrát. Nejdelší hod předvedl ve druhé sérii.
Rovněž pokus ze druhé série zapsal do výsledkové listiny jako ten nejlepší Bárta. Udržel se díky tomu o 22 centimetrů před Jihoafričanem Victorem Hoganem, jenž obsadil třetí příčku.
Český diskař byl v rozhovoru pro Český atletický svaz s výkonem poměrně spokojený. „Trochu mě mrzí, že nejdelší pokus byl ten zajišťovací. Pak jsem se snažil přidat a už to nešlo. Zkoušel jsem přitlačit a vyráběl jsem tam technické chyby. Ale celkově to hodnotím kladně,“ uvedl.
Běh na 200 metrů vyhrál favorizovaný Jan Jirka za 21,25 sekundy. Na osmistovce se v cílové rovince prodral k vítězství Jan Tesař. Finišoval v čase 1:48,94 minuty a nechal o 21 setin za sebou Daniela Kotyzu.
