Im Topspiel der Daikin Handball-Bundesliga setzen die Füchse Berlin ein ganz dickes Ausrufezeichen, hauen die MT Melsungen mit 37:29 weg.
Heißt im Meisterkampf: Berlin ist drei Spieltage vor Schluss Erster, einen Punkt dahinter liegt der SC Magdeburg, Melsungen hat als Dritter zwei Punkte Rückstand und nur noch Außenseiterchancen.

Berlin braucht 15 Minuten, um mit Melsungens unbequemer 7-gegen-6-Taktik klarzukommen. Dann kommen 4:43 Minuten, die das Spiel entscheiden – und die Meisterschaft?
Von 7:7 zieht der Spitzenreiter auf 13:7 (21.) davon, braucht dafür gerade mal 283 Sekunden.
Vor allem Welthandballer Mathias Gidsel (26) ist mal wieder nicht aufzuhalten, trägt drei Tore zum 6:0-Lauf bei. Melsungens Trainer Roberto García Parrondo nimmt gleich zwei Auszeiten in zweieinhalb Minuten – hilft nicht. Das Spiel ist weg. Gidsel stellt am Ende sogar mit 15 Buden einen neuen persönlichen Tor-Rekord in der HBL auf.

Handball: Füchse Berlin hauen MT Melsungen im Topspiel weg
Europameister Tobias Reichmann, der bei beiden Klubs gespielt hat, bei SPORTBILD.de und Dyn: „Von Minute zu Minute hat der Zug mehr Fahrt aufgenommen, einfach die Schnelligkeit ausgespielt, sie sind frischer im Kopf und in allen Bewegungen.“
MT-Kapitän Timo Kastening gewohnt klar: „Die Füchse sind aktuell einfach die weltbeste Mannschaft, ich habe gefühlt keine Mannschaft gesehen, die den Füchsen diese Saison gewachsen war. Wir hatten heute keine Chance.“
Torwart!
Füchse-Koloss Dejan Milosavljev (29) ist in absoluter Topform, liegt schon zur Halbzeit bei neun Paraden. Wichtig, denn anfangs ist die MT besser! Nationalspieler Tim Freihöfer: „In der Anfangsphase hat uns unser Torhüter ein bisschen gerettet.“
[–>Brutal bitter für Melsungen, dass ihr eigener Super-Torwart ausfällt. Nebojsa Simic (32) zog sich Ende April einen Kreuzbandriss zu, sein Vertreter Adam Morawski (30) erwischt keinen guten Tag, wird aber auch von der ungewohnt löchrigen MT-Defensive kaum unterstützt.
Titel?
Klar ist: Die Füchse sind spätestens nach diesem Super-Sieg der Top-Top-Top-Favorit auf die Meisterschaft, spielen noch in Stuttgart, gegen Gummersbach und bei den Rhein-Neckar Löwen. Selbst ein Unentschieden könnte man sich in einem der Spiele wohl erlauben, weil das Torverhältnis deutlich besser ist als das des SC Magdeburg.

Es wäre die erste Meisterschaft für die Berliner. Melsungen droht dagegen nach einer ganz, ganz starken Saison nicht nur ohne Titel, sondern auch ohne Champions League dazustehen. Nur die ersten beiden qualifizieren sich für die Königsklasse.
Melsungen-Trainer Parrondo: „Das ist nicht mein schwerster Tag. Wir sind nicht zufrieden, aber vor allem, weil wir nicht gut gespielt haben, weil die Leistung nicht gut war. Ich habe nicht über Meisterschaft und Champions League nachgedacht und mache es weiter nicht.“
