Der SC Magdeburg reagiert auf den langfristigen Ausfall von Publikumsliebling Matthias Musche (32, Achillessehnenriss) und holt Linksaußen Sebastian Barthold (33) vom dänischen Topklub Aalborg Håndbold.
Unglücklich: In der eigenen Mitteilung schreibt der SCM den Namen des neuen Stars durchgehend ohne h – als Bartold. Ein Tippfehler, der sich durchzieht wie ein roter Faden.
Dabei ist die Verpflichtung alles andere als ein Missgriff – sondern clever, nötig und sportlich absolut sinnvoll für die kommende Saison. Eine Musche-Rückkehr wird frühstens im Februar 2026 erwartet. Nur mit Lukas Mertens (29) und Youngster Pablo Lange in die neue Saison zu starten, wäre sehr riskant und eine hohe Belastung für den deutschen Nationalspieler gewesen.

Jetzt wagt er den Schritt in die stärkste Liga der Welt – und kann seine Vorfreude kaum verbergen: „Jeder Handballer möchte einmal in der Bundesliga spielen und ich bin sehr stolz, dies in der kommenden Saison bei einem der besten Clubs in Europa, dem SC Magdeburg, zu tun.“

Update: Um 11.30 Uhr ist den Magdeburgern der Fauxpas aufgefallen, und jetzt steht der Name überall korrekt.
